How to Drive A Golf Ball Farther

Discover EXACTLY WHAT TO DO to pick up an extra 20 to 50 yards off the tee ... Every Time!

Executing basic golf fundamentals with the right driver and a good frame of mind will greatly increase your chances of hitting the ball squarely that will drive it farther and towards your target.

Of course, that's easier said than done.

Golf is actually two different games depending largely on how well you can drive the ball.

For pros and low-handicap amateurs who can "grip it and rip it", golf is a game where you're primarily hitting mid to high irons to reach greens "in regulation".

Pros and good amateur players are frequently putting for birdies and pars during their rounds.

Moreover, their short game isn't under fire all the time because they never "hit a green".

They can occasionally bogey a hole knowing they can get that lost stroke back by reaching a Par 5 in two and two-putting for a birdie, for example.

For others golfers who encounter difficulty driving the ball, the game of golf is less fun and much more stressful.

For these players (maybe this sounds familiar), after a wayward or short tee shot, you're hitting low irons and metal woods to reach Par 4's.

More often than not, you'll miss the green on your second shot and have to rely on your short game to salvage a par or bogey.

Par 5's aren't normally birdie holes because you don't have the distance to be in birdie position in three shots.

If you've tried lessons, new clubs, banging out countless driving range balls, etc. and you're still not getting the length off the tee that you want to take your game to a higher level, then it's time to do what I did and learn how to drive it farther.

3 Things You Should Know In Order to Drive It Farther

Many Golfers continually hit bad golf shots because of their quest to drive the golf ball farther.

Before we go any further, here are three things to keep in mind when trying to hit the golf ball farther:

1. Swinging harder on a Par 5 or long Par 4 to get extra distance not only doesn't usually work, but more often than not your accuracy will suffer and you'll often incur penalty strokes.

2. One of the best ways to add yardage to your drives is to make contact with the ball consistently in the "sweetspot" of the driver (center of the club).

3. By coordinating your body so the weaker side of your body doesn't get in the way of your stronger side, you'll be swinging smoother with more power without trying to swing harder.

You'll find a lot of great golf instruction books later on in this page that discuss these three topics and a whole lot more which can help you drive it farther.

However, if you're like me, you've probably read a lot of these books and perused article after article in magazines like Golf Digest.

Now, you want something that will really help you drive it farther when you put it the time and effort on your golf game.
