Changes in the Practical Driving Test October 2010
Independent Driving
Independent driving will become part of the practical driving test in Great Britain in October 2010. It is asking the candidate to drive for about 10 minutes, either following a series of directions, following traffic signs, or a combination of both.

The Pass Plus Training Course is specifically designed to reduce the accident levels in Newly Qualified Drivers. Many Insurance Companies offer Discounts to Customers that have completed the Pass Plus Course.It consists of a minimum of 6 Hours Training, which covers the following modules:
* Driving on Motorways
* Driving on Dual Carriageways
* Town Driving
* Driving Out of Town
* Night Driving
* All Weather Driving
Kent County Council sponsors this scheme and offers a £60 discount towards it for qualifying drivers aged between 17 - 19.
