Driving Past Fear to Explore Passion

Driving Past Fear To Explorer Your Passion

If fear is the reason why you cannot pursue your dreams, put fear in the spotlight by writing down your fears. Before you can stop fear, there will be potholes, detours, and traffic jams to avoid. The question becomes how can you workaround life's obstacles?

Driving Passed Fear to Explore Your Passion

Pursuing your passion can be scary. In addition, no doubt the dream killers are waiting to shoot your dreams down. Some factors that stops most people from chasing their dreams and working towards their goals is fear. Fear of the unknown keeps people locked into a situation that can be depressing. Could fear leave you dissatisfied with poor health, low income and ultimately with 10 to 20 years of wondering what could have been? Who wants that, it sounds stressful.

If fear is the reason why you cannot pursue your dreams, put fear in the spotlight by writing down your fears. Before you can stop fear, there will be potholes, detours, and traffic jams to avoid. The question becomes how can you work around life's obstacles? The answer is to reach out to those who are in the position you want to be in, like a mentor or business owner who has already built the road you want to drive on.

Get in the driver's seat and take action

Get in the driver's seat and take action. Put your seat belt on and move forward. The closer you get to your obstacles they usually do not appear to be as bad as you thought. Set simple goals and take a systematic approach. Utilize SMART goals to build a baseline.

As you drive through the highway of life, praise yourself. Think about your accomplishments whether simple or complex. Feed off your own past to help you navigate with or without a GPS device. Honk the horn at your resources such as the internet, organizations that center on what you want to do, and find a coach. Champion your dreams and interact with positive people.

While working your plan it is important to build a transition period where you will begin your dream while continuing to work your day job. When you feel you are ready, you can make that drive to your part time job (dream job). Grow and learn at your own pace. As your passion grows, so could the highways you take as you move into a comfort zone?

I think it is a good idea to put your fears in writing, it will help you face them. And sometimes when you see them in words, they don't look so fearsome anymore!

This is what I needed to read. I need to face my fears and move forward, following my dreams and ambitions.

I need to start jotting stuff down and setting up a plan to help me push forward.
    Thanks for the motivating lens.

Very motivating lens and so straightforward. Made me think about my own fear(s) and how to dealt with it. I'm totally "write it down" type of person, but I must admit that writing my issues down probably wouldn't be the first step I'd think of. Now I'm seriously thinking about it:-) Thanks for pointing this out.

I agree with writing down your fears. Putting the words on paper helps you identify more fully just what your fears are, and makes you realize that they might not be as 'scary' as you first thought. As you write them down, you begin to focus on solutions to reducing and eliminating the fears that keep you from accomplishing your dreams. This gradually reduces the fears and allows you to 'move ahead', overcome your fears, and reach your dream plateau.
