Sweet Read for a Sunday Afternoon
This is a nice, relatively light mystery chock full of knitting and crochet references with a couple of choice recipes thrown in for good measure. Think of this story as a Nancy Drew mystery for grown up girls who enjoy fiber arts.
Set in the mountains of Colorado, this story involves a group of friends who interact on a daily basis all of whom have some involvement with a cozy little yarn shop. While this is a murder mystery, it doesn't horrify you with graphic descriptions of blood, guts, or gore. The story, lacking that sensationalism, reads very credibly, and I came away wondering if the author had based this on some very real situations.
At only 270 pages, I finished this novel in a single sitting. Then I wanted to start knitting the blanket and baking the cookies that have pattern & recipe included for. I opted to skip the squash soup, though.

Yarnies Who Love To Read Speak Out
You don't have to be a yarnie to love these stories
Maggie Sefton's story reminded me of the Blossom Street series by Debbie Macomber - and I had a preference for one over the other, mainly because of better character development.
Tell the world which author YOU prefer.
