If you have spent a good portion of your life struggling with your weight, you are not alone. I have been there and am still experiencing my own weight loss journey! Find a Partner! 

I started my weight loss journey, which I named drop weight now, a couple of years ago... Let's be real, I stopped and started it many times in between! That's when I decided to find a partner. Which wasn't too hard to accomplish considering that 64% of people in the U.S. are overweight.

Partnering up on your weight loss journey will help both parties stay committed to their goals. You now have someone who will hold you accountable and vice versa. It's also nice to know your not alone!

Change Your Eating Habits 

We are raised in a world surrounded by convenience. A world where it is easier to order fast food as opposed to making your own dinner. This was a hard change for me, I needed to make time to create a grocery list that consisted of healthy meal planning. Not only for dinner, but also for lunch, breakfast and snacks.

I had to start eating breakfast, and start eating at least five times a day. Although I felt like I was eating every two hours, I was eating healthier and smaller portions. Eating snacks in between meals helps by speeding up your metabolism and decreases your hunger.

Making changes in your eating habits will get you one step closer to your goal, and help you drop weight now!

Drink More Water 

I was a self proclaimed caffeine junky. Drinking thousands of empty calories a week. I had to add water to my diet and in a huge way! I cut out all soda, and started drinking eight glasses of water a day. I also started drinking a glass of water before eating. This helped fill me up quicker, and helped me avoid going for seconds and sometimes thirds at dinner.

Exercise Regularly  

Exercise plays a big part in being able to lose weight. Studies show that 90% of people who lose weight gain it back if they do not exercise regularly. This is where your partner will really help you become successful. You can start small by taking a short walk each evening and adding more time to your walk on a weekly basis.

Walking is not only a great way to spend time with family and friends it also boost energy levels. You will lower your risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes.

Walking is a great way to start, but what ever you do, just keep moving.
