'drs2biz': Residing in China During Life's 3rd Age!

G'day! I'm David Schroeter, otherwise known online as 'drs2biz'. Recently, I decided to try and aggregate all the profiles for my online pursuits on one page, for easy referral to other people. What better way to do this than on Squidoo, right?

OK, so let's begin... I am an expatriate Australian, of German descent, living in the People's Republic of China. I arrived here in February, 2005, so you do the maths. Right now I'm doing business in China.

After just more than two years of being a Squidoo Lensmaster, my Giant Squid notification was emailed to me. Of course this made me really happy, and also I realised one thing -- slow and steady wins the race! There were plenty of people to help me in Squidoo, and it has helped me to share my interest in Chinese history. So, if I can do it, so can you. Not a Squidoo Lensmaster yet? I am proud to have been selected by the Squidoo leaders to become a Squid Angel on February 11th, 2011 for the neighbourhood Holidays & Celebrations > International Holidays & Celebrations. This gives me a great opportunity to help Squidoo become better by giving a "blessing" to the most outstanding lenses or to "ding" a lens that does not follow the Squidoo Terms of Service. You're "living in the People's Republic of China", but where?

After arriving in China in February, 2005, he lived in Dongfang (on Hainan Island's West Coast) and worked at the "Railway Middle School" until June, 2005 (5 months). At the end of this teaching contract, 'drs2biz' moved to Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province (at the Northern extremity), and worked and lived there until October 2010. After a short stint in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province in China, he returned to live in Haikou.
