Bounce!!!! Who Knew?!

I love Bounce Dryer Sheets for my dryer, but who knew there were so many other uses for them, too!?  I'm excited to share what I've learned with you.

Chase Away the Ants!

Lay a Bounce dryer sheet near the ants, and it will chase them away. It also repels mice.

Eliminate Static Electricity from Your TV and Computer Screen!

Wipe your television or computer screen with a used dryer sheet to keep dust from re-settling.

Household Uses

  • Bounce dryer sheets will dissolve soap scum from your shower doors. Wet the sheet and rub.
  • To freshen the air in your home, place individual Bounce sheets in drawers or hang them in closets.
  • Eliminate odors in wastebaskets by placing a sheet of Bounce in the bottom of the wastebaskets.
  • Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds by wiping them with an unused or used sheet of Bounce.
  • Freshen laundry hampers by placing a sheet of Bounce in the bottom of the hamper.
  • Clean baked-on food from cooking pans by placing a Bounce dryer sheet in the pan, fill it with water, let it sit overnight and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.

Vacuum Cleaner

Place a dryer sheet in the bag of your vacuum.

Needles

To prevent thread from tangling, run a needle through a dryer sheet before sewing.

Outside Uses

  • Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering by using a used sheet of Bounce. It will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
  • Golfers place Bounce sheets in their back pocket to keep away the bees.
  • Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh!
  • Bounce dryer sheets repel mosquitoes. Tie a sheet through your belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.

Got cat hair on your clothes or furniture? Rub the area with a sheet of Bounce. It will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.

  • Spread Bounce dryer sheets around foundation areas or in trailers or cars that are sitting. They keep mice from entering your vehicle.
  • Freshen the air in your car by placing a dryer sheet under the front seat.
  • Wet a Bounce dryer sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily with the wet Bounce sheet.

Stinky Sneakers!

Deoderize your shoes by placing a sheet of Bounce in each shoe overnight.

    I had a girlfriend who used Bounce sheets for all kinds of things. I use to tease her that she was like the father in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" who used Windex for everything, except she used Bounce.

    I just used some dryer sheets to make a ballet skirt for a doll. I'm quite proud of my inventiveness.

    I don't know if this is true or not...I have not heard of this use. I guess you could try it by placing some sheets near your plant???
