Your Pokemon Adventure Awaits...

This lens focuses on Pokemon games made specifically for the Nintendo DS game system. Although I have owned and sold many Pokemon games over the years, I was initially introduced to the franchise through the DS versions. My first Pokemon game was Soul Silver, and I haven't looked back since. These games are great for ALL ages. Both my wife and I are 37 years old and we absolutely love these games. If you haven't played one of these then you are missing out.

Pokemon Games for the DS

Pokemon Diamond Version

Released 2007 - Fouth Generation Pokemon

Pokemon Diamond GameLike previous Pokémon games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl chronicle the adventures of a young Pokémon trainer as he/she trains and battles Pokémon while also thwarting the schemes of a criminal organization. The games add many new features, such as Internet play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and changes to battle mechanics and Pokémon Contests. The games are independent of each other but feature largely the same plot and, while both can be played separately, it is necessary to trade between them in order to complete the games' Pokédexes.

Pokemon Pearl Version

Released 2007 - Fourth Generation Pokemon

Pokemon Pearl GameLike previous Pokémon games, Diamond and Pokemon Pearl chronicle the adventures of a young Pokémon trainer as he/she trains and battles Pokémon while also thwarting the schemes of a criminal organization.

Pokemon Platinum Version

Released 2009 - Fourth Generation Pokemon

Pokemon Platinum GameIn Pokemon Platinum, players control either a male or female child character, and start off with one of three Pokémon - Chimchar, Turtwig, or Piplup from Professor Rowan. The mascot Pokémon is Giratina, and is one of the central plots of the game. While it only had one form in Diamond and Pearl, it is given a new alternate form alongside a new area called the Distortion World, which features altered physics from the normal land of Sinnoh. The gameplay stays true to traditional Pokémon mechanics. Players explore a large area, which ranges from mountains, bodies of water, grasslands, populated areas, and snowy areas. Similarly to previous titles, players enter battles with other Pokémon, taking turns attacking each other.

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Red for the original Game Boy. I also have Pokemon Yellow for Game Boy Color. :) Maybe I should invest in a DS and try some of the new games!
