Peter is constantly annoyed by Ethan, yet he feels sympathy for him, he does not want to see him for the rest of his life yet he feels friendship towards him%u2026 Ethan on his part just act the way he is and feels like, without really thinking - he wants Peter to be his best friend, that's it; so for him, Peter is his best friend.

Similar DVD Movies to Due Date
A very similar film to Due Date would be 'Planes, Trains And Automobiles', which was released in 1987 and starred Steve Martin as the serious guy and John Candy as the disaster-prone guy. Just like Due Date, it is a road movie comedy. A much more recent similar comedy would be 'Dinner For Schmucks' which was released at about the same time as Due Date. Dinner for Schmucks also features a serious guy and a well-meaning but disaster-prone chap, although it is not a road trip film.
