Duets in the News (updated daily!)
The Last Superband: Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, & Jeff Lynne
Join the Superband Debate!
I consider a superband to include more than two rockstars who became famous in their own right, like the Traveling Wilburys. They are not common in the world of music, but they're awesome.
Do you think there will ever be another superband? Why or why not?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes
BigJim says:
Yes. There will always be 'super" players and performers. And they will always have a desire to play together in one form or another.

No way!
Margo_Arrowsmith says:
Well, I don't know. The Beetles was the only band where I ever knew the name of all the members, and probably because they were called John, Paul, George and Ringo more than the Beetles! So, I wouldn't know. :-(

I doubt it. Ad-hoc performances are one thing, but getting more than two world famous artists to bond together and churn out a few great albums is a remarkable feat!

Even the BBC is interested in bad duets
- Ebony and Ivory Voted Worst Duet
- Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder's song was voted the worst duet in world history by people in the UK last year.
Do you agree with the BBC article?
Here is a list of their best and worst choices. Vote for the WORST of the lot!
What the journalists say
- 50 Best Duets Ever
- UK newspaper ranks the top 50 duets of all time.
- Best Rock Duets
- Rolling Stone magazine has a short list of the best rock duets, but the interesting list appears in the comments section.
If you could have any of your favorite singers work together, who would you choose?

- Thanks Margo! I'm not familiar with their work, so now you've given me a reason to take a quick YouTube break :)
