Meet Dug!
i never owned a dog in my life
but after watching 'Up' the movie
it changed the way i thought about doggies
to fully express what i feel
i shall be unconventional
instead of writing paragraphs
i'll try my hands at poem stanzas
in the following lens you will see
"Blackbox" modules in twos and threes
they represent the different stanzas
of the poem on Dug that i'll present here
so sit back, relax and enjoy the prose
but don't over-analyze the words and flow
this poem was a moment of inspiration
all because of my Dug-Up-fascination!

what others often call I pet
but if I could then I would get
a pet dog over a pet cat
the reason why I like them pets
is coz it makes less depressed
when the day is tough & life gets lonely
a pet can be your best company

perhaps that is too specific
a dog of sorts might be generic
since I know not of many hounds
I'll look to movies shown in town
let's look through all the movie listings
to catch a glimpse of the latest happenings
one particular movie comes to mind:
the movie called 'UP' was one of a kind!

many of my friends who are proud dog owners share with me that dogs are one of the most loyal pets one can ever have, that they will run to you when you come home, just content to be around you, not because of what you can give it but for the company itself. that is such a beautiful picture!

in the movie 'UP' there were many characters
some had two legs and some had fur
of all the animated creatures
the dog called Dug captured my attention
the dog named Dug is one of a kind
to begin with he speaks and can reply
in English, with a small device
attached to his collar like a necktie

Dug is highly adorable
he's fast & funny & lovable
of all his favorite animals
he cannot resist the squirrel
he seems to have a slight defect
in the mental faculties that detect
where the sun rises and where it sets
as all his 'POINT's are incorrect

of all of Dug's lovely qualities
what I admire most is his ability
to forgive & forget immediately
and continue loving unconditionally
for me that is very important
as love should be given without conditions
if love is given with a list of 'if only's
how different is that from a money transaction?

in Dug I see that love is kind
that love is patient all the time
it does not envy, it does not boast
it does not blame and does not roast
love isn't rude, it's not self seeking
it looks outward to whose who are hurting
it seeks to give more than receive
but the more you give, the more it increases

yet I'm content with this arrangement
for Dug is with me through every season!
I know that Dug is an animation
that it will never be in physical realization
but I am more than happy with that
because to me, Dug is my pet!
