Thanks for all the useful info. I love weight training and totally agree that it is one of the best ways to get in shape for women. I recently started lifting heavier weights and am seeing better results than ever. I am definitely not getting bulky either!

Superb infromation. I loved all of the great video references. I wish I had access to something like this way back when I was starting out. Biceps are my favorite dumbell exercises as well :-)

Hi, I am so glad I ran into this article it has been really helpful. I am very intimidated when I go to the gym because everyone looks like they know what they are doing and they already have a set routine. Now instead of just running on the treadmill or elliptical I can do some weight training with dumbbells. I think you misspelled lunges though in the title Split Lunges, you wrote split lunches lol. Again this was a great article! Thanks.

Another EXCELLENT article. How did you know I needed this information right this minute! Makes me wish I had a wireless laptop so I could go to my workout area and begin a program.

We do a lot of these exercises in Jazzercise class, after the aerobic section. They're excellent. And you don't need heavy weights to really see a difference if you keep at them over a period of time. This is a great lens. Great use of videos.
