Dusty Talking Vacuum

It is no wonder that Dusty the Talking Vacuum is one of the current hot toys. He's so cute and is very sturdy looking. His bright colors and appealing little face remind me of the popular talking tools on the Handy Manny TV show. The little guy got a glimpse of the photo when I was "window shopping" on Amazon and said he wanted it because it was cool and ran off yelling, "Can we fix it?" at the top of his lungs, so I think he felt the same way.

We don't own the Dusty vacuum cleaner because this model wasn't around when I was buying mine. However, it is very popular with young children because it makes realistic vacuuming noises and says several phrases in between making the noises. Parents love that their kids are learning about chores. I think the neatest thing about the vacuum is that you can see the "dirt" moving around in the bagless collector just like it spins in my real bagless vacuum's collector. The brush attachment is also nice, since most vacuums do have different attachments on them.

While some kids might prefer a slightly more realistic toy, most younger children will probably prefer the cartoon like personality of Dusty and his brush attachment friend. Dusty's eyes move as he cleans and the phrases he utters makes it seem like he's conversing with the child pushing him around.
