- When we spent a day in Amsterdam on our return to the states, we got to see BIKES BIKES and more BIKES -- I've probably got a picture someplace -- what an awesome sight.

- Brenda: as you might expect it depends on how far you live from the place where you work. People drive to work here enough that we have traffic jams, and many of them. But many people still bike to work or to the supermarket.

- I want to go biking in the Netherlands!
How far do you have to travel when you go about your daily business? If my husband had to bike to work, I'm not sure how long it would take to bike downtown. It takes 30 minutes on a bus!
I think this lens could be improved by a picture of Katinka biking in her skirt! Any chance that will happen?

- I love biking, but where I live it is somttimes difficult because of the snow! It was a natural hobby to take up after I quit running marathons.

- I am learning to ride to get ready for a bike tour in Holland in early 2009. A place full of bikers is a strange sight here in the USA where cars rule the road.

- I'd love to bike through the Netherlands some day. It is relatively flat around our home - except for the hill that the house is on - makes going for a ride easy, but coming home can be exhausing after 3 miles nearly all up hill.

- Hi. What about Denmark? If bikes aren't used in Denmark as much as in Holland - it must be a close second - no?
But China - yeah, that's the most I've seen. The bike paths are as wide as normal streets. And if you go the wrong way - ow!
