DVD to Zune Converter

I got an ipod for Christmas and now I get a Zune for my birthday. I already had a perfectly good mp3 player but I guess I can't play games or watch movies on the mp3 player. I wish I had these a couple years ago when I was traveling for a living. I carried around a disc man with 2 portable speakers instead.

I had the same problem with the zune that I had with the ipod. They don't give you software to convert movies into the proper format so that you can watch them on your zune. I don't understand it.

If you go out and buy a digital camera or a printer/scanner, the manufacturer gives you the software you need to interface it with your computer. Why don't they give you some software with a Zune or an iPod? It's not like they're cheap!

Ok, enough whining! I checked out several different programs and pretty much had the same results as I did with the ipod software. I just love free trial software. My results are posted in this lens. Avex Gets My Vote For Best DVD To Zune Converter

I downloaded 3 different DVD to Zune converters and gave them a little trial run. I didn't bother with any of the freebies that are floating around on the internet because the last time my computer got a virus. Take my advice, when it comes to software, stick with the trusted names.

I tried the Cucusoft, PQ, and Avex converters. Just like with the iPod coverter software I sampled, all 3 did an excellent job. Good quality play back and sound. They all have pretty much the same options and functionality.

The big difference was the conversion speed. Avex wins hands down. The Avex software was about twice as fast as the others and since I felt every thing else was equal, Avex gets my vote.
