How Useful Is The Dynaflex Pro Gyro Wrist Exerciser?
Say goodbye to your old spring-grips. Say hello to Dyna-Flex. I bought this for my girlfriend--she's a rock climber. And like many climbers, she already had one, but wore it out from overuse. It's a great strengthening tool and is much more effective and versatile than spring-grips. Plus, it's more interesting to use. Although it does take a little practice to develop proficiency and can get a little noisy at high speeds, it's great to use while watching tv. There are even various ways of using it to condition different muscles in your arms.
My only annoyance with Dyna-flexes is that they are easiest to start-up with a string--a string that is easily lost.
just got this and the reviews are true. takes awhile to get used to, once you got the gyro spinning you got have the spinner outward and rotate wrist, once its going it generates force you instantly feel it work out your arm without the heavy weights. it does what it says. i highly recommend it.
This gyro was a great investment! It has helped me with the strength in my hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders. I also used it to help rehab an injured wrist. At first I was confused on how to get it started so I called the 800 number on the ball. One of their friendly customer service reps walked me through the process and helped me get it started over the phone. Since then I can start it with great consistency. I think this is a product that almost anyone can benefit from.
I purchased the DynaFlex in order to strengthen my wrist and hand after surgery on my wrist for a ganglion cyst. I was nervous about purchasing it because some reviewers said it was hard to start. However, I found it very easy to start with the string that is provided. It only took a few tries handling the DynaFlex to find that "sweet spot" when the gyroscope takes off and starts exercising your hand. Not only has my grip improved (in a very short while) but I find it very convenient to use. (I like to use it while watching TV.) It is possible to vary the speed of the workout so that you can gently exercise your hand (especially important when it is still recovering from an injury). It is also true that this device exercises and strengthens your lower arm (you can feel it working!). I haven't used it long enough to say whether it has also strengthened my upper arm, but I imagine that it will - at least to some extent. I like the DynaFlex so much, that I ordered one for a friend who is recovering from a broken wrist. If you think I'm some young sports buff...think again. I'm 56 and happy to do anything to keep the strength in my hands. My friend reports that she likes it too and she is in her 60s.
