Dyson DC17 Vacuum - Great For Pet Hair

Here's a photo of my little pooch - he's even smiling because he knows he's just left a whole bunch of fur on the carpet. But, I digress...the Dyson DC17 Vacuum Cleaner uses cyclone technology to permit suction power and a beater brush to lift the fur from the carpet fibers. In addition, it's got a lifetime HEPA filter and is certified asthma friendly - not that you would have a pet that sheds if you've got allergies or asthma but maybe you do. But, don't worry because as powerful as this vacuum cleaner is, you can turn off the motorized brush if you're using it on your hardwood floors and prevent scratching. The canister on this unit is see-through so that you'll know when it's full and cleaning it out is easy - just click the button to release the canister and dump the contents in the bin! It also comes with a retractable hose so that you can clean hard to reach places and it expands to 16 feet. And, the mini beater brush attachment is great for cleaning sofas, the car or stairs and there is a floor attachment for getting under beds and dressers.

Unlike other vacuums in the market, this is one heck of a quiet vacuum in a relative way. Of course it's still noisy, but as with other brands this won't hurt your noise environment. In fact I am able to vacuum even at night with no fear that my neighbors beside and above my unit will hear me.

Until yesterday, I figured all vacuums were more-or-less an equal pain. After all, the Bissell (junk) we bought had the same 12 amp, bagless design as the Dyson. I figured "How different could they be?" ( Answer -- LOTS!)
