Learn more about the Future of Document Recording

This lens is about an innovative new technology that will revolutionize the way that legal documents (like a public property record, land record, title record, deed, etc) are processed for county recording. The technology has been dubbed eRecording.

Who uses electronic document recording (eRecording)?

There are two parties that benefit from electronic document recording--those who submit documents to the county recording office, and those who process the documents when they are recieved.

Submitters and Counties

How they use eRecording and how it benefits them

Submitters:

Attorney's, banks, agents, etc. all must submit documents like deeds, property records and titles to the county recorder's office for proper documentation. Instead of having to physically bring them to the county office, wasting time and money, these parties can now submit them from the comfort of their own office. All they need is a scanner, internet access and a reputable eRecording software.

Counties:

With the tradional method of document recording, county recorder's offices are always swamped at the close of the work day with individuals trying to process documents before the office closes. With eRecording, documents can be received and processed in a fluid, efficient manner throughout the work day. With eRecording eliminates unecessary lines and stress for the county offices.
