How to Find Quality Wholesale Products to Sell Online and Make a Profit

...thanks to reliable sourcing

Before you spend a lot of time, money, and effort in marketing your eBay business, it's so vitally important that you have a profitable product or a mix of profitable products to sell.

You can be a great marketer, be an expert in branding yourself or your business, be able to drive traffic to your listings, etc., but if you want to run a profitable business you need something to sell and you need reliable sourcing.

It doesn't matter if you sell on eBay, Yahoo stores, or your own website, finding hot products to sell is something you'll always have to do for your business. I know companies who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each year just to source products.

Fortunately, you don't have to do that.

A company called Worldwide Brands will handle the heavy lifting of product sourcing for you and let you concentrate on growing your business.

If you don't already know about Worldwide Brands, let me tell you about them...

Worldwide Brands is the top product sourcing company in the world.  They have the world's largest database of genuine, factory-direct, drop ship and wholesale suppliers. Everyone in their database has been personally contacted and pre-qualified.

They also do educational presentations for eBay Live, host Product Sourcing Radio, and are the Official Product Sourcing Editors for eBay Radio.

Early this year, they unleashed the OneSource tool and immediately gave online sellers the ability to use the same wholesale and drop ship suppliers that big name department stores, eBay Powersellers, and eCommerce store owners use.

With OneSource you get:

* Instant access to millions of products and thousands of drop ship, light bulk, liquidation, and import VERIFIED wholesale suppliers that you can use to source products to sell for a profit.
* Detailed demand, competition, keyword, and pricing market research.
* A lifetime 100% money back guarantee.
* 100% FREE customer service and hours and hours of free online education material.

Take a look at OneSource here:

I can't recommend this product enough if you're looking for wholesale products to sell. It's a great place to find wholesalers & dropshippers who have products you can buy and sell for a nice profit.

Even the 'Dean of eBay University', Jim "Griff" Griffith recommends it to you.  Click here to see what he had to say about OneSource.

And Andy Jenkins, who has done over one million dollars drop shipping items, reports: "There's a whole army of people behind this database. It's the first place and usually the last place we look."

Make sure you get this powerful product sourcing tool for your online business.

The Importance of Branding

Branding is a term that we hear frequently from marketers. It's one of those buzzwords in business that many of us recognize but don't fully understand. Simply put, your eBay business has a greater chance for success if those who buy products and services from you recognize your brand.

In case you weren't aware, branding plays an important role in your overall eBay business and how it can give you an edge over your competition.

Why is Branding Important?

The word "branding" has its origins long before the arrival of eBay and the Internet. Farmers, for example, "branded" stock using branding irons with their own indelible logos in order to link themselves with their animals.

Branding is a powertool tool. That's why beer and soft drink companies spend millions of dollars every year in advertising and promotion to brand themselves as the product that you should use. Many of their ads don't try to sell the drink. Instead, these advertisements promote the brand and try to create "brand awareness." This tactic does work.

When you think of Cola, what brand do you think? Most people would reply either Coke or Pepsi. Here are some other markets along with the dominant brands:

Sports Cable News - ESPN
Photocopiers - Xerox
Facial Tissue - Kleenex
Computers - IBM
Software - Microsoft
Online Auctions - eBay
Search Engines - Google, Yahoo

All these companies have established themselves as the dominant players in their markets. Without a doubt, they all have competition -- some of their competitors may have superior products at better prices -- but none have done as good of job of creating "brand awareness" into people's minds.

So why is this important to you? From these examples, you can make an argument that oftentimes the power of your brand may be even more important than the quality or price of the product your selling.

In the highly competitive world of eBay, branding yourself well can help you succeed when you can't offer a product or service at the lowest price.

In essence, the goal of branding is to end up with the name of your product, service, eBay store, etc. foremost in the minds of your buyers.

Take Advantage of eBay's Affiliate Marketing Program

Make commission off your own eBay auction/fixed-price listings as well as other sellers' eBay listings through eBay's Affilate Program.

For more information on the eBay Affiliate Program, please visit this page on the eBay site:

http://affiliates.ebay.com/

As an example, you can set up a page on Squidoo as I have done here or on your own website to promote eBay listings (your own or someone else's). Should someone click on any listing below and place the winning bid on that item, I'm entitled to received a portion of the Final Value Fee that eBay collects from that transaction as an affiliate commission.

So check out eBay's affiliate program and start earning commissions! It's not difficult to set up and run...

Sell What Sells, NOT What's Cool

by Chris Malta & Robin Cowie

Our company publishes the Internet's
leading Database of genuine wholesale suppliers
. We list thousands of "Drop Shippers" (wholesalers who ship products, one at a time, directly to your customers; eliminating the need to stock inventory), and thousands of Light Bulk Wholesalers - Wholesale Suppliers who will sell
to you in small Bulk Quantities, while still giving you larger Bulk Quantity prices.

As a result of the information we research and publish, we get questions all the time about what products Home-based Internet Business owners should try to sell online.

I've been at this for years, and have become very successful in my Internet business. But let's face it, folks. If I knew what was going to sell well on the Internet tomorrow, next week, or next month, I wouldn't be writing this article.

On eBay Does "Buy It Now" Make You More?

"I'm Not Spoiled, I Just Want Everything Right Now!..."

By Steve Nye, HammerTap

You have to know I love you. I just waded through a 32 page academic study on the effectiveness of using the "Buy It Now" feature on eBay. I dug out some golden nuggets from this dry and lengthy report... so you won't have to. It really opened my eyes. Let me share what I discovered.

A hot topic in the eBay community seems to always be the latest increase in eBay listing fees. After all, profit is what you keep after you pay all expenses. Listing fees are one of them.

So is it worth it to use the "buy it now" feature? It really depends on the product, as I found, using HammerTap auction research tool. For many products, it yielded fantastic results. Let's quickly discuss a few of the issues that make some auctions perform much better using eBay's "buy it now" option.

eBay Marketing Using Squidoo!

Squidoo was one of the hot buzzwords when you hear people talk about Web 2.0 social marketing sites.

Simply put, Squidoo is the ecommerce equivalent of MySpace. At no financial expense, you can position yourself through Squidoo as the "go-to" authority for your business, create substantial targeted traffic to your eBay listings, and improve your search engine placement on Google.

For my money, the best thing you can do for your business today is to purchase the eBook below and follow its tips and techniques religiously.

The eBook is called Social Networking on Squidoo by Tiffany Dow.

As Dow writes, "If you want to stake your claim to a grown-up's version of MySpace, where it's okay to promote yourself and your business, and it's not about adding glittery banners and bulking up a phony friends' list, then you want to take Squidoo for a test-drive.

"Even Seth Godin (founder of Squidoo) blogged about my success with this eBook! Now is not the time to argue about whether or not Web 2.0 is going to be the next big thing. If so, you'll miss this train!

"By the time you figure it out, all the good lenses will be snatched up and your keywords will be driving traffic to someone who was savvy enough to sit up and take notice of what Squidoo has to offer!"

Click on the eBook cover below to get started NOW!

Increase Profits -- Save Money on Fees -- Sell Smarter!

Take Your eBay Sales to the Next Level!

You've got to get the right tools to ensure your success. If you're serious about making more money on eBay, you're going to need to invest in the right tools. You need solid research to consistently base your eBay listings on real-world listing data.

Here are a couple of my favorite market research tools:

With Terapeak: eBay Marketplace Research you have unprecedented access to hundreds of millions of auctions across the eBay marketplace in less than a second from any computer with internet and browser capabilities. You can learn about category performance, trends, buying habits and information never before available to the eBay user.

Terapeak: eBay Marketplace Research was the first to provide eBay seller, eBay category, eBay Motors P&A, and eBay international research.

There's no lack of eBay advice out there. Some tell you that to increase the closing bids of your auctions, use a low start price. Others will rant how you'll lose your shirt if you don't start higher. So who's right? They both are. Let me explain.

Every product performs differently at auction. A rule of thumb based in fact for one product may completely capsize your efforts if you use it on another type of product.

Start price is just the beginning. To make the most profit on each listing, you need to know what consistently works.

With HammerTap, you arm yourself with knowledge needed to predict future success based on many past listings.

Better yet, researching products you want to sell online only takes a few minutes with HammerTap. When you base your decisions on real data, you build confidence in your buying and selling choices. Trial and error are a thing of the past.

Google Base Store Connector

The Google Base Store Connector is a free download that enables eBay, Yahoo!, and osCommerce store owners to connect their store information to Google Base.

A connection is created between a specific online store and Google Base, which eliminates the need for store owners to manually submit their items' data.

The Google Base Store Connector automatically formats a store's items to align with the Google Base requirements. At this time, the Google Base Store Connector is only available in English.

To submit your items to Google Base using the Google Base Store Connector, you'll need to complete the following steps:

1. After you've downloaded and installed the Google Base Store Connector, you'll need to run the program to establish a connection with your online stores.

2. To create a Google Base store connection, select the store you'd like to import your items from using the I want to get items from pull-down menu.

3. Enter the email address and password for your account.

4. Choose a name for your connection. Please note that this name will only be used by you to identify and modify your connection, or to upload additional items. This name won't be published online.

5. Once you've filled out the necessary information, click Copy items from my store. You'll be taken to a new tab which will be labeled with the name you specified for the connection. You'll also see a link to your store and to your Google Base account. Finally, you'll see the date and time of the last update of your items and a list of the items and their categories in your store. Please note, because your items have not yet been published, "never" will be displayed as the date last published.

"Get the Customer, Not Just the Sale..."

Read This Incredible Article by Steve Myers

You're probably working too hard. Once a listing closes on eBay, you move on to the next one, right? For most eBay sellers, once they make a sale and send off the product, they don't think about that sale again.

If so, they're cheating themselves. Don't view a sale as a transaction. See it as the beginning of a relationship with a customer. If you sell to a niche audience, this is especially true.

Why You Should Register a Domain Name

Drive more traffic to your eBay Store implementing a domain name strategy

Registering a domain name for your eBay Store is a great way to enhance your business and save money on your eBay Final Value Fees (FVF). A well-thought out domain name can help promote your eBay Store by creating a brand name and a Web address that's easy for shoppers to find and remember.

When potential customers enter your custom domain name into their browser or click a link or bookmark, they will be automatically directed to your Store's Web address on eBay.

I recommend using iPower.com for this purpose. Their domain registration price is very reasonable.

Auction Genius eBay Selling Course

I'm often asked how I learned so much about selling on eBay and the Internet and if there are any books or tapes on the market that I would recommend to an eBay seller in order to improve their business.

I've covered a few books and courses on selling already in this blog. However, there is one CD series that I purchased within the last year that I would recommend to most anyone selling on eBay called the "Auction Genius Course."

Check out this great course by going HERE!

Effective eBay About Me Pages

I receive a lot of inquiries on how to put together an effective eBay About Me page. I think a better name for this page is About My Business. But regardless of what the page is called, this page is capable of being indexed by Google and the other search engines if set up correctly. It's also a free promotional tool to bring attention to your eBay and other Internet-related businesses.

The best information that I've found on About Me Pages comes from an eBay Workshop conducted in December 2005. Here is the direct link to take you there:

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=2000053907&tstart=40&mod=1134425476206

You will receive great information on how to attract attention with your About Me page, focusing on basic page layout, use of color and fonts, photo placement, and how to format text to balance the page. As you have time, please check this Workshop out.

New Wikipedia on Internet Marketing

Internet marketing, also referred to as i-marketing, web marketing, online marketing, or eMarketing, is the marketing of products or services over the Internet.

The Internet has brought many unique benefits to marketing, one of which being lower costs and greater capabilities for the distribution of information and media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet marketing, both in terms of providing instant response and eliciting responses, is a unique quality of the medium. Internet marketing is sometimes considered to have a broader scope because it not only refers to digital media such as the Internet, e-mail, and wireless media; however, Internet marketing also includes management of digital customer data and electronic customer relationship management (ECRM) systems.

Internet marketing ties together creative and technical aspects of the Internet, including design, development, advertising, and sale.

Internet marketing also refers to the placement of media along different stages of the customer engagement cycle through search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), banner ads on specific websites, e-mail marketing, and Web 2.0 strategies. In 2008 The New York Times working with comScore published an initial estimate to quantify the user data collected by large Internet-based companies. Counting four types of interactions with company websites in addition to the hits from advertisements served from advertising networks, the authors found the potential for collecting data upward of 2,500 times on average per user per month. in

Nice site on how to make money on eBay. One technique I would add is you can create your own ebay stores using auction feeds and post them outside of ebay - even here on Squidoo. Simply get an ebay auction affiliate store software program and create your store (only takes a few minutes). Select to display auctions from your own ebay seller id and then build your blog. Then, take your blogs rss feed and post it here on your Squidoo lens. Instantly build traffic to your own auctions (and get paid as an affiliate as well:-)
