Looking for your favorite one of a kind collectibles, clothing, books, etc?

Have you noticed that it's getting harder and harder to find your favorite items at eBay? The small sellers that brought you the best vintage, one of a kind pottery, china, antiques and hundreds of other antiques and collectibles are leaving in droves because of some changes eBay has made to their selling policies.

Stay at home/work at home moms who have been trying to earn extra money on eBay are finding it more and more difficult to do so. This is making it really hard to shop for gently used baby clothes, kids clothes and toys, very popular items!

These changes have forced most of our favorite sellers right off the site in favor of the huge sellers of mass-produced and/or drop shipped items.

So where did they go?

Well, dear readers, they moved away from eBay. Some went on to other auction sites called "eBay alternative auction sites." Some sellers even built their own stores either on marketplace sites like Blujay, eCrater or a fully hosted ecommerce site.

This lens invites former eBay sellers who have moved to such other places to add their links below.

I urge eBay shoppers to check out these sellers and support them in their efforts to support themselves. If you love to shop like I do, please visit these fine sellers at their new venues and buy from them there.

As an eBay seller of six years' standing, I feel the same way about it as you do although I haven't given up on it completely. I definitely think they're trying to ditch the small, niche people who sell OOAK items in favour of people who sell multiples of one item. I wonder if that policy is going to come back and bite them in the backside at some stage though.

Yes. Did you notice the ebay tv ads for holidays? No collectables, fun stuff, it was all for new things. People buying new clothes, sport equipment etc. No little people selling collectables.

Industry experts say that is exactly what they are doing, going for big box stores that sell new items. Less trouble for ebay. However, their first venture into this, GM cars in California, closed down early. Few sales and GM pulled out very disappointed that going on ebay did not get them lots of direct car sales. They planned to sell nationwide but just did not get the traffic from ebay. Kind of funny and sad. GM laid off dealerships and planned to sell directly to public.

Sold on ebay for 6 years until the whole system became anti-small seller & fees went over the moon. Suspended for no reason! I now have my own website and sell on an English site, ebid.net. Ebid.net is #2 for on line auction site in world (3,000,000 daily auctions) & w/ good reason. Fair rules, reversable feedback, seller determines payment method, & friendly forums (they collect & send flowers when someone is sick!!). Join for $50, no listing fees for life. No relisting fees, & only 2% fee when item is sold. FIVE free stores too. Five free pictures & free t-shirt. Less traffic but heck, we grew 15% last month and added 500,000 auctions in last 6 weeks. Brazing hot, this is an excellent site w/ an automatic google download that has our items listed there within hours. Check out auction site daily totals on powersellersunite.com & go w/ the biggest and best alternative to ebay, ebid.net.

Former Ebay seller has moved to Bonanzle, where I am allowed to speak with other vendors without thinking that BIG BROTHER is monitoring my moves like a criminal. The ease of listing, the reasonable fees, the community camaraderie is wonderful. Looking for Ebay sellers-look to bonanzle.com....I resent 3e the sellers being judged "guilty" before they are given an opportunity to comment...I have integrity, a l00% feedback history (over 5 years-no easy feat!) and I simply am fed up with having to change my listings every time the rules change-I only want my time to be spent listing & CATERING to my clients. I always ship within 3 days, charge fairly for shipping (sometimes take a loss, as a matter of fact) all of a sudden with my l00% feedback, my stars were not filled in-and I had not one CUSTOMER complaint, so I do NOT trust the veracity ..feel like the smaller time sellers were given a kick in the rear to LEAVE....HAPPY AT BONANZLE

I've been exploring some of the other avenues for selling, but even with the price increases and the other eBay changes, my sales are still coming from eBay not the other locations. Still, I liked how you put this together and I'm dropping 5* at the top and adding you to a few of my lenses that deal with selling online. Good job!
