How To Earn Extra Money At Home

I had no idea that working from home was ever an option until a couple of years ago. Prior to that I went to university, got a good degree, started at a good company and....absolutely HATED it. The people were great, the work was challenging but not too stressful, and if I wanted to, I could've "gone all the way to the top". So why did I quit after less than a year?

Well, one day at yet another board meeting, I had the realization that the job meant nothing to me, that I was supposed to care about something that I really didn't give a rat's a** about. Suddenly it was like waking up from The Matrix - everyone else seemed to care and to be so into it, and I felt like the only sane one in a mental institution!

I decided I wanted a more authentic life working for myself and putting my energy into projects that were meaningful to me. I quit soon after and have never looked back. Despite some ups and downs it was the best decision I ever made.

Working from home allows many people the time and financial freedom to do the things they feel are most important in life.

You can leave the house whenever you want and plan your working day around your other commitments. Some of the other pros are:

• no annoying colleagues to deal with


• no having to work late at the office

Those are some killer benefits, in my book!

Well...I don't think there are too many disadvantages to working at home, but if you HAD to think of something I guess that you could say

• Can be lonely if you work alone every day


• Easy to procrastinate - is Oprah on?...hmmm..let me take a quick break...


• Can get distracted by children, partners, naughty cats etc ;)
