Earn Extra Money Working at Home

Before you purchase any new product, service, ebook, report, course or other item that promises to help make you money from home, review the following questions to see if the item is a good fit for you.

1) First take a look at the product itself. What does it promise? If it's the moon; i.e. a type of get rich quick scheme, pass. Those hardly ever work. Not worth the risk.

2) If the item passes #1 above, go on to check out the price. No need to continue if it's clearly above you means at this point. You can want a Mercedes or Porsche, but let's face facts: what does the wallet say? And no, don't grab your credit card just yet, either. Read on, it you believe the payments could be in your budget.

3) Does the item in question come from a reputable source? I.E. is it a Work from Home course created by someone who's never even worked from home, hiding behind a P.O. Box? Read the fine print. Look for testimonials, a solid foundation to contact them: postal address, phone, email, fax, etc.? Test this contact info, too: does your email bounce? Do you get a return phone call if you leave a message? How soon can you get customer service - and how is it? The greater the price, the more solid info you should have for support to get your money's worth.

4) Ask questions. Find out things like:

- If you need other components like special software to make the item work for you?
- Do you need special skills; i.e. do you have to be able to build your own website?
- Is it for certain experience levels, or is it good for all - from newbies through advanced entrepreneurs?

5) Check out the guarantee. If the price is high, see about a trial version or period. Ask about payment plans.
6) Review all your notes. Then put everything away for at least 24 hours. If you still want the item, then take the info back out and go over it with a trusted friend to get another point of view. You can even head to industry forums and see if you can spot reviews there and search for posts and threads about the item in question.

7) The final step is to determine if you have enough time, energy and anything else needed for the program to make it work. Only you will truly be able to tell. In short, don't buy something that requires 10 hours a week of your time, if you only have 5 hours available. That's not an equation for success.

Once you have thoroughly done your research, get off the fence. If it's two thumbs up AND meets the requirements above, give it a go. Put your all into it and take action steps to get to your success goals, seeking help as needed along the way.
