Earning Money on the Internet

The answer is, yes and no. Yes, that it is possible to earn that amount on the Internet, no that it is not possible to do it by their methods.

I visit the websites these advertisements advertise every now and then, just curiously to see what the most recent scams are. And that's what the majority of them are, actually. Just scams.

Let's take a look at one of them. Let's say you go to Google, your favorite search engine of course, and type in the phrase, "earn money on the Internet". You are then presented with over 50 million search results.

You click on the first one you see, with a headline that reads something like, "I make thousands per day on the Internet, you can too". You then see a very busy and colorful site, with rainbow colored text, fancy pictures, and all kinds of devices meant to capture your attention.

You then see all kinds of testimonials, followed by more fancy text and pictures, then see their product, claiming to teach you, too, to learn how to earn that $5,000 a month. This product is almost always, "for an incredibly low price of $99.95!"

You, wanting very much to start earning that kind of dough, think $49.95 is a good deal if you will start earning $5,000 per month after buying this. So you do, and all you end up with is a product that is of no use except for selling to other people. That's how you make your $5,000 a month, by selling a useless to other people who will in turn earn their $5,000 per month by selling it to more people.

You have been a victim of a Multi Level Marketing, or MLM scam. And you aren't the first, nor will you be the last. People get tricked into these things every day, and will be as long as these sites exist on the Internet. And they will continue to exist as long as people get tricked into buying their products. It's basically an endless cycle.

You may be disheartened now, but don't be depressed, there is truth out there. There are many honest, profitable (not only monetarily profitable, but also mentally and emotionally) ways to earn an income, and a great one at that, on the Internet.

There are some people of note, which use their skills in writing as a way to earn income, and at the same time provide value to the world.

Steve Pavlina is one who has taken his extensive knowledge of personal development, combined it with his writing skills, and produced a website that provides him with a very reasonable amount of income. Scott H. Young is also doing something similar.

As you can see, these two writers both have very interesting websites with fascinating content. They work hard--writing is not always an easy job. Yet, they manage to churn out excellent content on a regular basis. This has resulted in their success.

That is the key to success with the blogging method: publishing useful content on a regular basis. Basically the formula is something like this:

high quality, interesting, unique content + time = success

You don't need to write 1,000 word-long articles in order to achieve success either. Many people do not publish such long articles, yet are well on their way to building a successful website. What they have is unique content, which is published on a regular basis. I believe that is truly the key to success, and you really cannot fail if you keep at it. Just keep at it and you will win.

Writing is a time consuming, difficult, and sometimes tedious process. This drives many people away from pursuing their blogging career, causing them to give up or not even get started. If writing isn't for you, then feel free to move on to something else. I tried a hundred different things before I found out what I like to do.

And of course, blogging certainly isn't the only way to earn money on the Internet. There are an infinite amount of ways to capitalize from the Internet. Squidoo is just one of them, and even now people are earning hundreds to even thousands of dollars per month with it.

With a little innovation and a unique idea, a college student made a million dollars in an extremely short amount of time. With a little innovation and a unique idea, you also can also achieve success in whatever you pursue.
