Easy step-by-step guide to earning income online.
Here you will learn how to get started in the world of earning money online. You will learn what you need to do in order to make money using easy to use GPT (Get-Paid-To) websites and programs. And it's all here in an easy to follow guide, created with the newbie in mind.
Lots of people are starting to work from home and are earning money online, there are many different ways to go about working online and it can get quite confusing if you don't know where to start. Here I help you along that process.
Working at home is not just for stay-at-home moms anymore, it's great if you are retired, unemployed, disabled, a student or if you just want to make extra cash or earn an income online. It's a great option and many sites welcome international users from all over the world.
Step 1: Protect Your Computer
If you are using your computer to make money online, then you want to protect that asset to assure that you can continue to make money. There are many ways to protect your computer. First I suggest making sure that your pop up blocker/firewall/anti-virus software is installed and working (such as McAfee, etc), if you do not have one installed browse the Internet for one. Some sites provide those services for download, free of charge. The second thing is to make sure that you are cleaning out your cookies. Cookies are bits of information that is downloaded onto your computer's memory every time you visit a site. Some sites (such as PTD's) have multiple offers from the same merchant and in order to get credited you need to clean your cookies so that you get credit for more than just the one offer. You can do this yourself manually by going to your Window's Control Panel and selecting Internet Options and selecting Delete under Browsing Options. Before doing that you should adjust your settings so that you are only deleting cookies. Another thing to do is download a cookie cleaning tool that you can use to delete cookies with just one click. Using these tools you can also select what cookies to keep so that when you hit delete, you keep the cookies you want so that you do not have to sign in on your site every time you clean out your cookies. The cookie cleaning software that I use is called CCleaner. Using CCleaner is easy once you get the hang of it. After downloading, visit the tour and then the facts page.
Step 2: Setting up new e-mails
I recommend using for your main e-mail, an e-mail address from your Internet provider (such as AOL, comcast, Verizon, att, etc.) so that you can add it to your list of mailboxes and check it whenever you are checking your regular personal e-mails without having to sign out and go to a whole new site. For the spam e-mail account I recommend using a site such as Gmail they have a great spam filter and the space is nearly unlimited which is great.
Step 3: Get A PayPal Account
PayPal is a secure way to send or receive money online as well as to pay for services or get paid for your services. You can sign up using your bank account number, they use this to verify your identity. Once you do this you can also transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account or use it to send funds to anyone with an e-mail address. There are also other ways to verify your identity on PayPal, in order for some sites to send you money you must be verified. PayPal is secure, safe, fast and easy. Many of the sites you choose to use for working online will pay you via PayPal or another online payment system. Some will also pay you via check or money order but the fastest way to get paid is by using this online payment system. PayPal is free to join and use, however they do charge a small fee (something like $0.30) when you transfer your balance over to your bank account. You can also sign up for the free PayPal debit card to use your earnings or the PayPal Master Card.
You can join PayPal here.
Step 4: Get To Know Site Types.
PTR (Paid-To-Read), these sites pay you to read e-mails from them either through your e-mail address or an inbox the provide for you on their website.
PTC (Paid-To-Click), these sites pay you to click on ads from various merchants of affiliate links and view them for a set amount of time which is usually between 3-60 seconds.
PTD (Paid-To-Do), these sites typically pay you to complete offers which can be things like surveys or requesting a free sample or signing up for things.
GPT (Get-Paid-To Try), these sites pay you to sign up for free trials or try products or services, these often require a credit card or signing up for some sort of monthly service.
PTS (Paid-To-Shop), these sites pay you either an incentive amount or a percentage back for shopping online using their links, to merchants you normally shop through.
PTP (Paid-To-Promote), these sites pay you to promote items or their site, you can do this through free affiliate linking sites or via your blog or website.
PTB (Paid-To-Blog), these sites pay you to write a post in your blog advertising a certain product or site. Usually your blog has to be 90 days old.
Surveys, these are sites that pay you to complete surveys on their website.
Paid Forums, these are online communities where you can build a profile about yourself and they pay you to post topics, reply to topics and be an active member.
Paid to Write, these are sites that pay you to write articles or where you can submit articles that you have written for payment.
Paid Pictures/Videos, these are sites that pay you to post your pictures or videos as well as vote or comment on the pictures and videos of others. Some of these sites also allow you to post your pictures for purchase by others.
Step 5: What sites to use?
You can also research some sites on your own, however please be careful as many sites are scams, anything that seems too good to be true most likely is. Check this list of scam sites or sites that are currently being boycotted.
Step 6: How to get paid.
Most of these GPT sites pay once a month (there are some that pay more frequently) and you get paid for the money that you have earned anywhere from 7 - 30 days after the end of that month, depending on the website you join. It is important that you make yourself familiar with the payout procedures of these sites. The Minimum Payout is the minimum amount of money that you have to have earned on a site before they will pay you your earnings. Tips & Tricks
* Clean out your cookies frequently either manually or by using a cookie cleaning software.
* Complete offers only once, EVER. Do not complete the same offer purposely on different sites, this could cause you to loose the money earned on both sites as well as cancellation of accounts.
* Do not log into your account on a computer of someone else who has an account at that same site, this will make it look like you are cheating and have two accounts, both accounts will then be deleted and earnings will be lost.
* Do not share your account passwords for any of the sites that you belong to.
* If you receive an email from PayPal, know that they never include a link for you to click on or ask you for information. If you receive an email asking you to click to sign into your account or asking you for information, it is a scam and important that you do not click it. Only log into your PayPal account by typing the address into your web browser and logging in on the home page itself.
* With PTC sites, check back throughout the day as they can add ads at any time for you to click on.
* To get referrals, you can trade in some of your earned money on some sites for advertising of your affiliate links (these are the links given to you by the site and used to track who you refer, so that you can earn credit for them joining and a percentage of what they earn on that site).
* Purchase some sort of padding for you wrist to place in front of your keyboard and mouse to prevent pain to your wrists after prolonged time online. A folded up pillow case or rolled up towel work great too.
