An African American Actress/Icon - R.I.P. Eartha!!!
Eartha Kitt dies at age 81, Dec. 25, 2008
I don't think Eartha Kitt got all the recognition she deserved as an wonderful actress who paved the way for the successful African American women today. She was the REAL Cat woman when I was growing up and no one could play that role like her.
She was a REAL sex symbol.
Eartha Kitt was a wonderful, actress, singer and dancer. She sung the famous version of "Santa baby." She started in many movies, including Boomerang with Eddie Murphy and was so funny. She also played in on of my sons' favorite movies Holes with Shia LaBeouf.

Three reasons to love Eartha Kitt
A woman who opened doors for Halle Barry, Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Williams and others
#1 She was a great performer.#2 She was a great dancer.
#3 She was the REAL Cat Woman.
Eartha Kitt at a Glance
Eartha Mae Kitt (January 17, 1927 ? December 25, 2008) was an American actress, singer, and cabaret star. She was perhaps best known for her highly distinctive singing style and her 1953 hit Christmas song "Santa Baby". Orson Welles once called her the "most exciting woman in the world." She took over the role of Catwoman for the third season of the 1960s Batman television series, replacing Julie Newmar, who was unavailable for the final season.
