The Truth On Fossil Fuels
Global warming has been heating our world for several decades now. We all know the reason for this phenomenon: fossil fuels. From cars to the gigantic power generators, we all use fossil fuels. We can't deny the fact that almost all the products we can get from the market today involves the use of these substances. The reality is that: this is the great disadvantage of progress. Of course we can't enjoy things that we enjoy today without the help of fossil fuels, we should admit it. This is one drawback that we kept on loving and is very addicting.
And though fossil fuels keeps our world powered, we can say goodbye to it and use a better substitute. But we need to support this change and make it a point that we grasp the point on why we must consider change NOW!
And though fossil fuels keeps our world powered, we can say goodbye to it and use a better substitute. But we need to support this change and make it a point that we grasp the point on why we must consider change NOW!
The Facts
Recently, these past years, we faced some of the disastrous calamities in history. Destructive storms, floods due to heavy rains, very long dry season and changing climates. These have been caused by the long period of abuse we have done to our environment. It was further amplified by the use of fuels that emit hazardous substances that not only causes diseases to humans and animals but also to our environment. The effect to our environment is caused by several factors that can be linked directly from using fossil fuels.First factor are the CFC gases and the likes which act as a heat trap on the sun rays that enters the Earth on each day. We need the sun's power to make life possible on our planet. But although we need the sun's heat for our daily activities but then when this heat will be trapped it would be a disaster as it will contribute to temperature rising. Most contributors of these gases are cars, factories, power stations and others that use fossil fuels for energy. But can we live without these technologies? At these times, not at all. We need these things because we are accustomed with their companionship.
Next factor are the waste products that we humans generate. The Earth's population is growing in number each year. And because of this, an additional food supply and other needs must be coped with the producers. Other than the fuel consumption that was incurred during the production, we now have the waste in the form by products. These wastes also emit gases that ultimately will be released into the atmosphere that will bear same results.
And because of the growth in the food supply, the waste produced by humans after purchasing and using these products also adds to the burden. Then this will ultimately add to the ever growing piles of waste. And the volume of these wastes keeps on growing each day as though there's no stopping it.

What We can Do
We already have the knowledge on this phenomenon but why it's still here. We can change the world but it can't happen on click of the mouse. Remember that companies involved in business employs a lot of people in their operations and you might be one of them. These employees also have their own lives and families which rely on industries. I'm not saying we should wait. In fact we should start moving now towards green technology before it will be all too late. How can we do it? There are many things you can do to minimize the effects of global warming. One thing is by minimizing your daily waste. This is probably the simplest solution. Reduced waste can mean reduced methane emission. It would also mean that factories will have a minimized production waste because we started it at home. Start by recycling. Re-use things that can be made onto other forms. That way, further production can be greatly minimized thus minimizing waste products. As you may see, this is just a cycle of supply and demand. Although it would mean a decreasing demand in the production, the outcome would be generally better, a better world for us to live in.

Speaking of energy, we can utilize readily available energy present on our surroundings. One of which is the solar alternative power. It's been there over centuries and our ancestors have used this for drying clothes and other products that nowadays are done by machines. Of course, solar alternative energy in general has low application in today's industry. What we can do is to convert this energy into other forms like electricity. This way, we can utilize the energy into several industries without having to create a special equipment whatsoever. Wind is also a good alternative. The good thing about wind energy is it isn't limited by night time. As long as there is wind, even not as hard blowing, that can turn your turbine electricity will be readily available. As a generalization, using both solar and wind energy will provide a sustainable energy for your household.
Initial cost of these equipments is disputed by many as very pricey. Little did they know that there are cheaper alternatives for these that you can even know and build by yourself. And after the initial cost, you can have the succeeding years free from electricity bills.

Conclusion
Can we make the change? Others may answer yes or no for most folks. Yes because there are other alternatives for these. We just got to have the will to carry out the task for change. Others no because of the price tag and the effort of putting up the equipment. Today, we can clearly see the negative effects of long term use of fossil fuels. We must not play blind and deaf on this, we must act readily. We always have the choice anyway, to use the present not-so promising very polluting energy or the clean and free energy? Make your choice.

- I need a piece of land and I'm going to put a wind turbine on that piece of land. Tl hen, by federal law, I'll sell the surplus to the utility. See you around the galaxy...
