I love the idea of an art basket instead of the usual candy Easter basket. Although kids love candy, I think that they love drawing even more - plus the gift will last so much longer as the candy will be gobbled up in a few days.
When our son was younger we always tried to add a few artsy type things to his basket along with a video tape or two. This gave him less candy to eat but months later he still was able to watch his videos & play with his play-doh & other toys.

My kids love getting art stuff and things to play with outside ... and of course they love the chocolates too, but they love the toys and paints and things we usually get them. I love that you included gifts for boys and girls separately. When you're in the stores shopping it seems like a lot of the seasonal items are geared towards little girls and I have four boys!

I agree.One basket I saw had several holidays listed including Valentine's Day. Works well for any gift giving and kids love to unpack the whole basket. I know my grandson gets so excited when there is a number of items packed together. It's so cute to watch him look at everything.
