Really lovely lens, exactly what the spirit of Easter is all about. The link out to making your own paper dolls was clever, and I love the idea of topping it with a white bow that she can wear later in her hair. Boys can be trickier, but there still are a lot of little cars, dinosaurs, etc. at the thrift store. And I think they would like the slippers too, although with a different design.

I hate the prepackaged baskets. It just seems so impersonal. I do enjoy a good thrift store. I hadn't thought of checking there for baskets though.

Nice lens. We've always used our baskets from year to year. I enjoy finding the perfect treats and filling the same baskets each year. I loved your idea of including heirloom seeds. Thanks.

We have an Easter Basket we've used countless times. It's even been painted over and over and over again. It has such character with a large swooping brim (do you call it a brim?). Anyway, it is a real woven Easter Basket with a nice tall handle from my childhood. Plastic baskets can't compare to it. Fantastic ideas.

Cool lens. I'll have to remember it when Easter comes around!! :) I'm hoping to get my mom to reuse the eggs she mailed us last year (that we still play with regularly).

Rather than buy a Chocolate Bunny you can make your own chocolate Easter animals. Children love learning the process and each year you can re-use the molds.

That sounds like a good idea -- one can create candies in many shapes. It's a bit late for this year, but I've got to go searching for a mold.
