I love Easter celebrations and this page got my even more excited. Easter bread is a tradition in my household.
  • karmicchristian Apr 5, 2012 @ 8:59 am | delete
Easter is certainly a tradition! Hope the sins will be forgiven after downing these sinful delights! :))

Never knew that about baby carrots. Thanks for enlightening people. Wonderful lens. Blessed!
  • fullofshoes Apr 4, 2012 @ 12:37 pm | delete
We're not having a traditional Easter dinner this year since everyone is scattered in a couple different states but if we were, ham would be the king of the table.

And... I'm am shocked to learn about the "baby" carrots!!! That was good info.
  • RenaissanceWoman2010 Apr 4, 2012 @ 12:06 pm | delete
Your tasty Easter dinner is very similar to the ones we have enjoyed as a family over the years. Delicious! I would be happy to have scalloped potatoes every meal. Carrot cake is also a real treat. Have a blessed Easter.
  • KonaGirl Apr 4, 2012 @ 9:58 am | delete
I am not big on ham, but this is a lovely lens never-the-less! *Squid Angel Blessed* and added to My Squid Angel Blessings for 2012 in the "Holidays & Celebrations ยป Easter" neighborhood. In fact, you are the 1st lens to be featured in this category.

It was most likely about this time last year that I stop by here and smell Easter Dinner cooking, and got REAL hungry. Yummy lens, Brenda!
  • joykennel Mar 1, 2012 @ 8:59 am | delete
Nice ideas--yes we celebrate; like ham, cheesy potatoes, frozen fruit salad, sweet potato casserole, yeast rolls, green bean casserole, asparagus...lots of different family favorites. The carrot cake sounds like a good addition for this year. Traditions: #1: church, #2: eat with family and friends

Great lens... and Easter is coming this weekend! Yes, we do celebrate Easter, and we certainly will make an Easter dinner.

Easter time is here and this lens will be great help for me. Thanks
  • careermom Apr 17, 2011 @ 12:51 am | delete
Looks wonderful. My children are too small to put a dent in a traditional holiday meal and I'm a vegetarian so I'm not much help.
  • StellaSingles Apr 6, 2011 @ 1:28 pm | delete
a friend of mine has an apple tree in her front yard. every Easter, and some other holidays as well, the kids go pick a dozen apples in the morning. during the day, the ladies bake up a nice fresh apple pie, or two/three, to be eaten after dinner. they're usually sooo good. one year the apples were too sour though, still smelled delicious though.
  • whitemoss Mar 20, 2011 @ 3:51 am | delete

Great lens - I loved your layout! Even though I'm a vegetarian I enjoyed your lens very much ... we love havin huge family holiday gatherings.
  • poddys Apr 28, 2009 @ 7:18 pm | delete
Very nice lens, 5***** Easter is so different in England, many people having Turkey or another roast meal. Traditionally we serve Roast Potatoes with our special meals, then a variety of vegetables, maybe Brussel Sprouts, Peas and Carrots, Swede (aka Rutabaga), Roast Parsnips, and of course lots of lovely thick gravy. MMmmmmmmmm :)
  • Spook Apr 22, 2009 @ 3:24 am | delete
Yes we celebrate Easter but we don't have a special Easter dinner. However this was an excellent and very well presented lens and I like asparagus.
  • alteredkat Apr 16, 2009 @ 11:40 am | delete

We celebrate Easter, but a traditional meal like this is not usually part of it. It does sound incredible, however!

CONGRATULATIONS to you on Squid Angel! You deserve it, I know you will do a splendid job! (And THANKS for the blessings! ;-)

  • LauraSchofield Mar 19, 2009 @ 5:59 pm | delete
These are great ideas for an Easter dinner - 5 stars! I wish I could enjoy, but I'll be dieting this year and have to hold off (I tend to be really strict when I want to lose weight). I'm glad I read this: I learned about baby "carrots" which I've been buying more of lately as a "healthy" snack..
  • kiwisoutback Mar 19, 2009 @ 4:02 pm | delete
Looks great! I love ham on Easter, it's one of my favorites...with rolls, mashed potatoes, and carrots. I'm hungry now!
  • lou16 Mar 10, 2009 @ 2:13 am | delete
Delicious, ham was always a Christmastime feed growing up and I must admit I've never thought about it for Easter. Lamb was always served at Easter, although since living in Australia we usually have a barbie with friends - steaks, chops and sausages :)
  • ElizabethJeanAllen Mar 5, 2009 @ 6:16 pm | delete
My family would have a fit if I didn't make leg of lamb. Its the only time we have it.
    Great lens
    Lizzy
