Just a note on how perfect the Morning Has Broken song is. I saw a few comments and sometimes here people say that it is not really an Easter song. But it is ONLY an Easter song.

Some list the lyrics as "...fresh from the World." But you have listed here accurately as "... from from the Word." Chris it the Word of God made flesh.

Also, "... sprung in completeness, where HIS feet pass.". Them's the feet of Christ.

"Gods recreation of the new day".

This is a song about the Resurrection. Easter Sunday.

I like the "Morning Has Broken" one. It's not exactly Easter -- just spring -- but my mother used to sing something when I was little that went "It's cherry pink and apple blossom time". I don't know all the lyrics.

I did not know there were Easter songs other than what I would sing growing up in my church school. Nice lens. I did know the song Morning has Broken. I used to listen to Cat Stevens sing that one as well.

I love your new spring outfit and all those wonderful old songs. One of my favorite spring songs is Robin in the Rain. Raffi sings it but I bet it's much, much older.

My other favorite is the Hallelujah Chorus. Though it is usually sung in a very reverent manner, when I was in college there was a church that had a Hallelujah Chorus sing-along. No need for perfect pitch. Everyone could join in. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Easter and the coming of Spring.

Thank you for collecting all these great Easter songs. I will be serenading my children all day .long.

Gosh, what a sweet lens! LOVED that you included "Little Bunny Foo-foo" !!!

My Easter memories of songs are all religious, and my favorite would be "He LIVES" ... probably a Fanny Crosby tune. I loved it as a kid because everybody would stand up and sing loud and then the whole congregation would pause dramatically before singing the last line... "You ask me how I know He lives" ***Pause*** "He LIVES" **pause** "Within" **big dramatic pause, all eyes on the songleader** "MY HEART!!!!" Oh, the things we remember. I love how your lenses always bring me happy memories.

I love the lens. April Showers is a beautiful song. I love Mel Torme's voice.

side note: little bunny foo foo and the rapper bunny didn't work.

Love this lens - now I'm thinking about Easter! Some of these songs brought back childhood memories. I was a faithful follower of Lawrence Welk, believe it or not!!
