Easter is a wonderful holiday to enjoy. As a child I can remember searching for my basket and how happy I felt when I found it.

Loaded down with treats and toys I would play with it all day. Making my children's Easter baskets is always such fun. I like to hide them really good, make them work for it.

The happiness and pleasure on there faces is always worth the effort.

The date of Easter is not a fixed date. It is on the first Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon which follows the vernal equinox Because of this the day varies between March 22nd and April 25th.
This year 2012 Easter is on April 8th.

I love making Easter baskets for my kids. I like to make them a mix of certain gifts they want and various candies and goodies. DVDs and Playstation games fit good in the back. I always put a cute stuffed animal in along with plastic eggs filled with little treats.

Peeps, Lifesavers and M&Ms are pretty standard. Of course a big chocolate Bunny or two. I usually stuff them pretty full and hide them really well.
If they can't find them I will give hints, until they do. It makes for a happy Easter morning full of smiles.

An Easter Miracle Gift

Easter to me is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Because of this I am set free from the law and able to believe in and accept him as my Savior. Now I can be forgiven, enjoy eternal life in heaven and have a meaningful relationship with him.

A true miracle, he died for us, and rose again. This is what I believe to be true and what I have taught my children. I enjoy participating in all of the Easter festivities and allow my children to also as long as they know the reason we are celebrating.

Easter is a wonderful, beautiful, miracle to me!
