Easter Candy had to start somewhere

But where?

sxc.hu/Alex5248When something as brilliant as Easter candy comes along, you have to wonder about who originally came up with the idea. Someone with that kind of vision definitely deserves a lot of credit!

Apparently it all started with people giving hot cross buns to the poor on Good Friday, and then European chocolatiers took things to the next level. FailedSuccess.com gives us the whole scoop in their article, A Glimpse into the History of Easter Candy.

Easter Candy for your dog

Don't leave Fido out of the fun

OK, we all know dogs aren't supposed to eat chocolate, and sugar isn't really good for them either. But that doesn't mean you have to leave your pup out of Easter candy fun!

Make up a basket filled with toys and goodies that are puppy appropriate. You'll make his day and avoid those heart-wrenching begging looks that take the joy out of eating your own candy.

Easter Baskets

The proper way to deliver (or collect) Easter Candy

Have you ever had to carry all your Easter candy around in your arms? OK, I haven't either, but you can imagine how annoying that would be, which is where Easter baskets save the day. They come in pretty much every shade of lovely, and in pretty much any shape you can imagine. Before putting candy inside, fill them with mulit-colored fake plastic grass, that you'll be finding in your carpet until the 4th of July. Ah, traditions!

To choose the right Easter basket, consider the carrier:

For kids' Easter baskets, you might want to weigh what color Easter clothes they'll be wearing on the special day, because you're bound to take some pictures. Never hurts to coordinate!

Easter baskets for adults are nice if they're multi-functional. Once the candy is gone, it's an extra bonus if they can use the basket to hold toilet paper or tie clips. They'll feel like they got two gifts in one!

Great lens. I LOVE all candy except for some reason, I'm just not that big of fan of the Cadbury cream egg which is kinda funny.

Yummy. I love to eat the ears right off the chocolate bunny and I like the malted speckled eggs and the marshmellow bunnies. Oh me! As long as it is chocolate, I like it. Lensrolling this great Easter Candy lens to Easter Event in Pendleton SC.

It's hard to decide if my favorite Easter candy is Marshmellow Peeps or Starburst Jellybeans. I'll take both, please.
