The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven has a fresh new look.
It has a snazzy new purple exterior and funky graphics. Hasbro wanted the new model to look more like a real kitchen appliance.

The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven cooks WITHOUT a light bulb.
Why? The light bulb cooking element was removed in response to a new Federal law that phases out traditional incandescent bulbs, starting with the 100-watt bulbs -- the very ones that power Easy-Bake Ovens -- starting in 2012. The new Ultimate Oven has a heating coil to cook the food, so grown-ups never have to worry about opening up the oven to replace anything. To most adults, the light bulb cooking is what made the Easy-Bake Oven the Easy-Bake Oven, but kids who are being introduced to one for the first time won't know the difference.

The new heating element is more like that of a traditional oven and provides more even heating. The Easy Bake Ultimate Oven reaches an internal cooking temperature of approximately 375 degrees F, but the outside only gets warm to the touch, never hot.

It's Bigger
The new cooking chamber is 50% larger than before, and the baking pan -- now rectangular -- has been supersized, too. Now you can bake more food at once and bake bigger items.

You can make more than cake with Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven.
The new Easy Bake Ultimate Oven has new recipes drawn from current trends to appeal to today's kids. Now you can bake both sweet and savory treats, like mini pizzas, mini cupcakes, pretzel dippers, red velvet cupcakes, and more. The Easy Bake Oven also seems to be embracing the "small bites" trend, as the pastries are rather tiny.

What hasn't changed in the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven?
The cooking instructions remain the same. Push the food in one side of the oven to cook, and take it out on the other side when ready. You have to rely on the timer, because you can't see inside to monitor the food's progress.

The Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven comes with all the baking tools and 3 recipe mixes to get started. It includes a baking pan, mini cupcake pan, pan pusher / spatula, paper cupcake wraps, and the instruction and recipe booklet.
