Banana Pudding, Quick and Easy!

Not only is this banana pudding quick and easy to prepare, it tastes great! In fact, it's one of our family's favorite desserts. The finished product is so very creamy and rivals cooked, homemade Southern banana pudding.

If you prefer, you may substitute the cooked version of the pudding or a homemade pudding recipe; just cool a bit before adding the bananas and the Cool Whip.

Prefer pie? Simply use a pie crust of your choice (graham cracker, a regular baked pie crust, even chocolate), leave out the vanilla wafers, and in minutes you have an easy banana cream pie.

Let me know how you like it!

This Easy Banana Pudding Looks as Good as it Tastes!

Easy Banana Pudding Recipe

Don't forget to add these ingredients to your grocery list!

The Best Easy Banana Pudding Recipe Ever

Ingredients:

2 boxes Jello vanilla instant pudding
3 cups cold milk
3 bananas
about half a box of vanilla wafers
1 carton Cool Whip

Step by step instructions:

In a mixing bowl, prepare pudding by whisking the pudding mixes into the milk.

Peel and slice the bananas and stir into the pudding. Gently fold in about half of the carton of Cool Whip.

Cover the bottom of a pretty glass serving bowl with the vanilla wafers and stand a few wafers upright around the edges (so they show from the outside). Layer the pudding by pouring in about a quarter of the pudding mixture. Add another layer of vanilla wafers and stand a few up around the edges. Pour in about half of the remaining pudding and repeat a layer of vanilla wafers. Pour in the rest of the pudding, then add some vanilla wafers around the edges. Top it all off with the remaining Cool Whip.

Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour, preferably a few hours or overnight. Serve and enjoy!

(To make pie, omit vanilla wafers. Pour pudding mixture into prepared pie crust of your choice. Chill and serve.)

Banana cream pie is my favorite! And my grand daughters love bananas and whipped cream and to bake so since it is so easy - I think I'll teach them how to bake it and let them be in charge of the desserts this holiday season! Add a tad of pink food color to the pudding or the whipped cream and they'll have a a pink banana cream pie!
