Chocolate Lover's Cheesecake

Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts.

Add chocolate with cheesecake and it becomes yet another "love" of my life.

In doing my research I found that this is not only a delicious cheesecake, but it is also quite easy.

Take a few minutes and look at the information, participate in a few polls or quizzes, watch a short video, and then decide for yourself. This is sure to be a chocolate cheesecake you can proudly serve to your family and guests.

FROSTING Recipe

Q/A

Why does my chocolate turn
"whitish" in color?

It has been exposed to various temperatures. It's ok to use the chocolate, because it doesn't effect the quality or taste of it.

Battle of the Cheesecakes

Do you prefer plain cheesecake or flavored (including toppings)

Loading

Creamy Plain is the best.

SecondHandJoe says:

Plain cheesecake. . . . with fruit topping!

lexxsweet says:

It depends on how rich the cheesecake is, but for rich cheesecakes i prefer plain.

cffutah says:

had to go with the cheesecake that started it all, plain!

Delicious flavors with toppings.

hamshi5433 says:

I love chocolate and Vanila cheesecake its the best. Im not so into the fruit flavoured ones though.

Cari_Kay says:

Cheesecake isn't my thing but hubby loves it! I'm more a regular chocolate cake kind of gal :)

---Chazz says:

I've never met a cheesecake I didn't like - Plain if it is a good rich NY cheesecake, otherwise flavored.

sockii says:

Tough call...but I've had some truly delicious flavored ones before.

Tipi says:

I like both but am drawn to the flavors and toppings.

Bakers Tip

Make sure cake is completely cooled to prevent frosting from running down the sides of the cake.

Double Chocolate Cheesecake

Super easy recipe.

Another good recipe if you want to make your own crust using Oreo cookies.

Q/A

Why does my cheesecake crack?

The batter has been overbeaten and caused additional air to build on the surface of the cheesecake.

Cuisinart Chef's Nonstick Springform Pan

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-Inch Springform Pan
What a nice alternative to standard cake pans, this 9-inch springform pan makes it easy to create delicious chocolate cheesecakes, as well as other special desserts like layer cakes and tortes. When the cake has finished baking, just open the latch to release and gently lift the 3-inch-tall sides straight up and away from the perfectly intact cake. To transfer the confection to a serving plate, just slide it right off its base. This springform pan is made of heavy-gauge aluminized steel for fast, even heating.

Q/A

How do I keep the chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom of the cheesecake batter?

Eat them first!

Seriously, do not over beat
the cream cheese.

Baker's Tip

Cheesecakes crack less when
baked in a water bath.

This sounds delicious! I love both of these flavors.

I've found that cheesecake freezes quite well, if you want to save some to savor later.

mmmmm, I love all cheesecake in its many forms, no matter what flavor. This looks like an easy cheesecake that I can tackle. It's been on my baking bucket list, but I've always been intimidated by it.
