Knowing that your dog is barking for a reason is one thing but knowing why your dog is barking is something else entirely. It is not always easy to discover the reason why your dog is barking and it is therefore your job to try and put yourself in your dog's position and see what the reason for the barking is.One way to create dog barking control over your beloved pet is to change his environment somewhat to try to eliminate the reason for his barking.
For example, perhaps your dog barks when he cannot see you. This suggests that he or she is craving your attention and is actually lonely. I have a friend who found that turning the radio on close to where his dog was kept solved his dog barking problems. His dog must have found the radio good company and this stopped the barking almost immediately.
Another very simple step you can take is making sure that your dog is being fed regularly and that his or her water is being frequently topped up.

Why not try and place your dog somewhere where he will be better able to see what's going on around him. It could be that your dog is barking due to health issues and the sooner you get him checked over the better you will feel for ruling out this possibility.
