Are you in need of some easy gourmet dessert recipes? Perhaps you're stuck in a dessert rut. Or maybe you think that making gourmet desserts is complicated. Well, it doesn't have to be. Something so simple as fresh berries layered with vanilla ice cream can be gourmet AND simple.
I know, it does sound too good to be true. But ever notice that a lot of those restaurant desserts look really easy to prepare. That's because they are! I remember being at a top seafood restaurant and eyeballing a fruit cup with homemade whipped cream. I ordered it because it looked beautiful and healthy - and yes, it was easy AND "gourmet". :-)

They certainly are fancy! Or they could be with some tweaks. If you want to make your favorite blueberry pie, go ahead and do that. Serve it on a nice little plate with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of raspberry sauce. There. Now it's gourmet. Catch my drift?
Do that for every dessert you've ever made - you can even do it with store bought ones. I remember being pressed for time going to a party. I ran to the store, bought bakery sugar cookies, came home, quickly drizzled melted chocolate over them, and popped them in the fridge. They were a hit and it took me 20 minutes from start to finish (the store is down the street!)
This is SO easy! And you can do it even if you don't have time to cook.
