Easy Lucid Dream Techniques
There are a few techniques you can use to train your mind to have lucid dreams. These techniques are what we call "reality Checks". The idea is if you can train your mind during waking hours to do these checks you will also do them while you are dreaming and once you know you are dreaming you can start to take control of the dream.When first learning to lucid dream people will begin with reality checks by doing them often through out the day. Some of these techniques can include:
- Jumping - In a dream you can fly so jumping will cause you to lift off the ground.
- Turning on or off the lights - During dreams electrical devices don't work or have strange effects.
- Looking at your hands - The minds view of the body is different from that of reality. Your hands my look distorted or of a different color during a dream.
- Recognize your surroundings and situation - A lot of times in dreams we find our selves in places we have never been and in situations that my be imposable during waking hours.
By doing these checks during waking hours we are training our minds to do them while we are asleep. Ever had a dream about something you did during the day? The same applies. Your dreams are a combination of your memories, your experiences, and your desires. It may seem silly at first to do a reality check when you know you are awake but like I said we are training your mind to do them while you are asleep.
