In January, I celebrated my 5 year anniversary with my husband. We rented a secluded cabin in the mountains of New Hampshire. We packed our seafood and steaks on ice in a cooler, candles, wine, and various other essentials for any romantic getaway. We were soon off to escape the day to day routine. We spent a four-day extended weekend up in the cabin. Every night was a candle lit dinner full succulent lobsters, fillet mignon, and wine.

Here are the steps I took to remove the melted candle wax from the carpet.
I placed a dry dishtowel on top of the wax.
I filled a plastic bag full of ice and placed the bag on top of the dishtowel.
I allowed 5 or so minutes for the ice to freeze the candle wax below the dishtowel.
I simply picked up the frozen wax from the carpet and used a dishtowel with a little rubbing alcohol on it to remove any remaining residue from the carpet.
