Do follow backlinks are best.
When you are out link building you really want to focus your attention on getting "do follow" keyword anchored backlinks.Not all search engines pay attention to the "no follow" tag but Google does and Google is the biggest search engine currently so it carries a lot of weight. You will get most of your search engine traffic from Google so do not discount the way it treats backlinks.
