Easy Card Tricks - Learn Magic Card Tricks
Ho Ho Ho, Merry it-isn't-really-Christmas to all you Easy Card Tricks fans.
Now, just to make it really obvious, this page helps YOU, Learn Easy Card Tricks
But not any old card tricks, but those tricks which are easy -- easy enough to perform while drunk -- and which require only a normal deck of cards - I call it a "dormal" by the way, that is to distinguish it from a "prodeck" (a props deck).
Yes, I am making this up. Let's get to the trick.
And boy, do I have an easy (and fun) one for you today. It's called:
Gather Them Up
! Go get a deck of cards and follow along. Yes, I mean it. I'm getting bored of saying this, BUT, if you do this trick with me, you will learn how to do it and remember it. Reading is not the same as doing. Go get that pack of cards and just do it. You're future audience will thank you.
A. Take your deck of cards and shuffle it really well. Take a peak at the bottom card. For this example it will be the 8 of spades.
ex: "Alright gents and gentile girls, I am going to shuffle these cards really well"
NOTE: keep the bottom card hidden from your audience
B. Take out the other three 8's in the pack; without disturbing the 8 of spades at the bottom.
ex: "I will now take these three cards from the deck."
C. Place one of the 8's at the bottom (without revealing the 8 of spades), another anywhere in the middle and the last one on the top of the deck.
ex: "Alright, my lovely assistant Danny will now place one card at the bottom, one in the middle and one on top. Very gracious of you Danny. Applause please."
D. Now, have somebody else cut the deck -- this will have the effect of grouping the 8 of spades (now the next to last card) with the 8 that was on top and the 8 that was on the bottom.
ex: "Lovely assistant Joe, please join me and cut the deck in two "
E. Slam your fist into the top of the deck, open it at around the place that your assistant did the cut and reveal that the three 8's are now together again.
ex: "All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put Humphrey together again, but the powers of magic are above all what mere men can do."
F. Try to look very superior and magical.
ex: "Yes mere mortals, it is okay to worship me"
TIP: while shuffling you can choose any card you want by glancing at the bottom and stopping whenever you want -- you do this by holding the pack in your left and shuffling with your right.
All the magical best,
Damian

Easy Card Tricks - The Travelling Four Card Trick
Learn Easy Card Tricks that require only a deck of cards
Yes, yes, I know. Ready for more easy card tricks aren't you?The kind of easy card tricks that are so easy they just might be ripped from a kids magic tricks collection.
You do? Well, let me just *&$#% (very bad swearword) this introduction out of the way and get to the meat.
Oh yes, glorious meat. I shun vegetarians by the way. If you can't handle a half pound of roast beef and french fries with everything slobbered in mouthwatering gravy, then you CAN'T handle life.
Carnivorous dreams aside, the name of this lovely trick is:
The Traveling Four
! As always: GET the cards and DO the trick. NOW.
A. Take your pack of cards and make sure that four matching cards are on top of the deck. Let's say for example four jacks.
ex: "So let me show you guys something really cool. First I take care of the jokers. Aha, here we go. Ready!"
NOTE: you can get your chosen cards on top simply by pretending to take out the jokers, the trick is to do it casually.
B. Shuffle the pack while keeping the chosen cards on top (don't let the four jacks move from their on top position)
ex: "We're gonna give these cards a nice, thorough mix around."
NOTE: if you hold the cards in your left hand while you shuffle you can use your right hand to take cards from the bottom of the pack and mash them in the middle -- thus not touching the jacks.
C. Cut your pack mid-wise and separate into two stacks. Cut each of the remaining stacks mid-wise. The result of this should be four piles of cards (of close height). The last pile to the right should have on its top the four jacks.
ex: "So, we cut the pack once, approximately mid-wise. We put one pile here and one pile here. Now, we cut each of these. Great, that looks about right."
D. Take three cards from the top of the first pile to the left (remember the one with the jacks is the last pile to the right). Place these three cards at the bottom of the first pack. After this, deal three cards from this same stack and place one on each of the other three piles.
ex: "What I do now is take three cards from the top of this pile, move them to the bottom and deal out one on each of the other stacks."
NOTE: the stack with the jacks will now have a random card placed upon its top.
E. Repeat the process with the second stack. The last stack will now have two random cards on top of the jacks.
ex: "Now I'm going to do the same for this stack. Watch closely please."
F. Repeat the process with the third stack. The last stack will now have three random cards on top of the jacks.
ex: "And the third stack will also get three cards from the top placed at the bottom. And we deal out one card for each of the other stacks. Groovy."
G. Repeat the process with the last stack. By moving the first three cards on top to the bottom you have now exposed the four jacks. Deal the first three jacks to the other stacks.
ex: "And again for this stack."
H. Turn over the top card of each of the stacks. They will all be jacks. Incredible.
ex: "Oh my god, these jacks really like to travel. Magic? This isn't magic, this is just kids magic tricks. Let me show you something really special (lead in to next trick)"
TIP: after you have gotten the hang of this trick you can direct a member of your audience in doing the necessary steps. It really slaps puzzlement on their faces.

- lol You make it sound easy but I think your fingers are more nimble than mine. I'm getting better but I think I'm going to need a little more practice time before I try to impress too many people.

- Showmanship is the key to making your tricks entertaining. Carry on a conversation with the audience throughout the presentation. Stop and make eye contact, smile , ask a question like "how's that drink?" Not only does this bring them into the act, but it distracts from focusing on your hands and the deck of cards. Done well, this will have your audience on the edge of their seat waiting for the next amazing revelation.
Great lens Damian..really enjoy it.
