Fabulous Yet Easy Halloween Ideas

What you'll need to complete this easy Halloween idea:

1) several yards of gold fabric, preferably shiny

2) a flashlight

3) some duct tape

4) the top from a medium sized table lamp

First, rig up the lamp shade part.

To do this:

Unscrew the part of the lamp that includes the lamp shade and the thing that holds the light bulb. Unscrew out the light bulb.

Next, put in the flashlight where the light bulb used to be. It'll probably be too big to fit into where the light bulb was so you'll have to use the duct tape to make it stay.

Next, duct tape this whole set up to a a hat. You might also want to attach a string to hold the hat more firmly to you head but when I did this, I really didn't have a problem holding the thing up.

Key: use a small flashlight.

Alteration: If you're going to a party where there will be a lot of light anyways, don't even put in a flashlight. You'll still want to have the lightbulb portion of the lamp so that the lamp shade is not directly on your head (which will impair your vision).

Next is the easy part:

Put on some tight clothes.

Then have a friend wrap you in the gold fabric. Start and your neck and work your way out to your arms. Then do the trunk of your body. Lastly, start at your middle and work your way down your legs.

What you'll need to complete this easy Halloween idea:

1) white trash bag

2) different colored pieces of paper (tissue paper would be good)
(ALTERNATIVE: Balloons)

3) ribbon

4) tights/leggings and shirt

To start, ball up a bunch of the different colored pieces of paper. We're talking about a hundred pieces.
(ALTERNATIVE: Blow up a bunch of the balloons until they are the size of a tennis ball.)

Cut 4 holes in the trash bag, 2 for your legs and 2 for your arms.

After putting on your leggings and any shirt you want, step into the bag. Then put in all of the balled up pieces of paper.

Pull up the trash bag to around your neck. Then finish off the look by tying it off with your ribbon.

Optional: Make a JellyBelly sign for you costume and tape it on the front.
