I was so impressed by this product I have created a lens about it to share how easy it can be to move files, settings, email contacts, and so much more from one PC to another.

This product comes with the application software. The easy to follow instructions were great. I was transferring files from an older version of Windows to a newer Windows Vista platform.
The process was simple, took a lot less time than it would have if I were to try to make backup disks of everything AND the files were left on the old computer during the transfer.
Another great thing is that the files were as they were on the old computer. In other words, they didn't migrate 'into' the files on the new computer... so I can sort them later as I go along and decide where I want them migrated.
This also transferred some of my applications (software programs). So, if you have ever tried to copy a whole program to move to a new PC you know how long that might take and how many disks you could need in the process.
I did need to upgrade a couple of them to work on Windows Vista after they were moved, but, it is easy to see what will and what will not run on the Vista platform after you do the transfer. You simply try to open it and if it dosn't work, you may need to upgrade.
Many software purchases will allow you to use them on multiple computers (which will save the cost of purchasing them again). Check terms of use on your software and you may find that the average allowance for multiple uses is up to 3 computers (that all belong to you personally).
BY FAR this is the best, easiest to use way to transfer programs and files from one PC to another (even if the platforms are different (such as an older version of Windows on one PC and the newer versions of Windows on another).

Insert software installation CD into your old computer.

Step Two
Connect each end of the cable to the USB ports on both computers.
CONNECT
Step Three
Follow the on-screen prompts on each computer and slect your transfer options to copy files and folders

Easy To Use
This product is very easy to use and the on-screen prompts are very easy to understand. You will be done with the process in such a short time compared to manual copy and transfer using disks or other media storage.
If you have a large amount of data this is the best way to go.

This is a great system to upgrade too! The small frame is awesome, takes up so much less space than my previous PC tower. It has slots for my camera memory card (so I can load photography directly from the memory card to my picture files), it has a great DVD and CD Burner! You can make great vids for YouTube or make home slide shows that are exceptional gifts for everyone in the family.
Other memory cards and thumbs that will plug directly into the front of the tower include:

The Easy Transfer Cable is Awesome!
The ease and time savings of this product is amazing! Not to mention...
The computer that went through our fire will turn on, but isn't able to make backup files anymore. The drives are melted. The hard drive made it...so, this Transfer Cable will save the day and save photos & artwork.
