Eating healthy...Its up to you
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT :)
My simple conclusion is that the vast majority of people eat and live in unhealthy ways.
The best way to live would be to only eat fruit and vegetables and chicken and fish, and a great varience to the kinds of fruit and vegetables to make sure that you receive all the vitamins and minerals.
Avoid red meat because generally it is full of hormones and antibiotics.
Even with chicken one must be careful since their feed could be grown with pesticides and the poultry could be fed extra hormones to stimulate their growth.
My favourite fish is sushi, healthy and full of protein and essential fatty oils:)
I know this one is not going to be liked, but stop smoking and stop drinking alcohol!:)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The modern world is so full of junk food and fast food and besides that it is expensive, it is really bad for you.
Chocolate, sugar, fizzy drinks, alcohol, pizza, hamburgers.

Theoretically junk food and artificial sugar should all be avoided!
Dont get me wrong, I enjoy a good pizza just as much as you do, but avoid junk when I can.
So many diseases and conditions are the consequence of what we eat.
Diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, cancer...the list goes on.
Sugar is the most evil.
Excessive sugar causes the body to create mass amounts of insulin to prevent all the sugar being absorbed into the bloodstream at once. However, too much insulin is bad for the body.
The choice is yours,
more vegetables, more fruit, less junk, less sugar, less dairy
The change is pretty simple and once you get used to it you actually don't want to eat any other way:)
Books on the Healing Power of natural food
NATURES TOP 10 SUPERFOODS
Start eating smart and include plenty of these in your meals
These marvelous little creations are incredibly high in antioxidants and vitamin C which means that they are very helpful in destroying "bad cells" (cancer causing) in the body.
2 - Olive Oil
Olive Oils main benefit is the mono-unsaturated fatty acid. Big word:)
Studies have shown that olive oil offers protection against heart disease by controlling LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels while raising HDL (the "good" cholesterol) levels.
3 - Avocados
My personal favourite!
Contrary to what many people think, avocados are a fruit, not a vegetable and are NOT fattening!
They are one of the best sources of monounsaturated fat, known to lower artery-clogging LDL cholesterol and raise heart-healthy HDL cholesterol. A few slices of avo contain a heavy serving of folate, one of the B vitamins that helps promote healthy cell and tissue development, as well as potassium, which helps maintain the electrical balance important for nerve conduction. Ie avos are great for the Heart and the Skin!
4 - Spirulina
The single food that contains enough vitamins and minerals to live off!
There was a study of a man who wanted to prove a point and lived off Spirulina for two years!
Spirulina is a single celled blue green alga, that contains 10 vitamins, 8 minerals, and 18 amino acids. It contains 12-15 times more protein than steak and is 5 times easier to digest than meat or soy protein. It has been found help reduce weight, and help with many allergies, visual problems, carbohydrate disorders, anemia and many other disease conditions
5 - Walnuts, Almonds, Pine Nuts and Macadamia Nuts
Nuts are a very important source of essential fatty acids and omega 3 oil.
6 - Whole Grains
7 - Garlic and Onions
These two amazing foods contain sulphur compounds that help prevent heart conditions.
Onions and garlic are also very good against colds.
When I start to get sick all I eat for a day is fresh tomato soup with lots of onion in it.
Usually the next day the cold is gone. Try it:)
8 - Broccoli
Brocoli belongs to the curiferous vegetable group.
I think Broccoli is most know for its cancer preventative properties. It contains indole alkaloids which are responsible fot that. Otherwise, Broccoli is very high in antioxidants and minerals.
9 - Salmon
Salmon is high in protein and very rich in omega-3 oil. It is said to help against depression and can reduce inflammation.
Studies show that eating oily fish dramatically recues the risk of having a heart attack, even in older adults.
10 - Tomatoes
The rebellious red wonders contain a powerful antioxidant known as lycopene which is shown to strengthen the immune system and protect against certain types of cancer. Eat a Tomato Everyday!
