E.B. White Read Aloud Childrens Book Awards

Ranked #1,916 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #80,267 overall

Read Aloud Picture Books

E.B. White is famous for books like Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and the Trumpet and the Swan. These are all great read aloud books and was the impetence for the American Booksellers Association for creating the E.B. White Read Aloud Award in 2004.

The Read Aloud Award is presented anually to the books for their universal appeal to being read aloud. Two awards are given out, an Award for Picture Books and an Award for Older Readers, along with a list of honors books.

In 2011, the awards were merged with the other American Bookseller Association awards and are now presented in conjunction with the Indies Children's Books Awards. The original Read Aloud Awards for Older Readers has been renamed to the E.B White Award for Middle Readers.

I hope you find something for your kids to read.

Charlotte's Web had me mesmerized as a child. I plan to read it aloud to my granddaughter when she is old enough.

Nice lens on the E. B. White Award and introducing others to a great children's book author! Well done!

I want to check out that Origami Yoda book. I don't have anyone for that particular age/genre in my house right night, but something about it intrigues me.
