Ebates gives you money back for shopping at your favorite online stores. You're getting a cut of what the owners of the site get for advertising the stores. Pretty smart.

4% cash back at Officemax.com might not seem like much. A 50 cent coupon for folgers might not seem like much either, but if you go to the grocery store with that coupon and 10 other coupons, it adds up. Those coupons are money!
It is the same when shopping online. Use that 4% cash back, and the 2% at Sears, 5% at Zappos, 3% at Gap, and 3% at HSN and watch your rebate check grow! If you spent:
$ 50 at Officemax.com
350 at Sears.com
75 at Zappos.com
120 at Gap.com
225 at HSN.com
that's $23.10 you could get back just for clicking from the Ebates site.
Not to mention the referral fees you get for getting other people to sign up. ($5 per person!)
