Is the Ebay affiliate program flawed????
I started using the Ebay affiliate program a little over 5 months ago. I built up a website. Got top ranking in the search engines for a most watched auctions website. I put up Ebay affiliate auction listings for every category on the website and promoted it.
I didn't really get any commissions showing up in my Commission Junction account which is the company that deals with the Ebay affiliate program. I waited and some revenue started trickeling in. 30 cents here, a dollar there, and then nothing. I was sent an email to inform me several times that ebay was experiencing difficulty tracking links from peoples sites. That got me wondering. Which then caused me to experiment.
I decided it was time to put the affiliate program to the test. I had a friend purchase an item from my site that was linked with my referral ID in it to Ebay. He was the winner of the auction and paid for and received his item. Now I am wondering where my cut was, so I waited, and waited, and waited, and nothing. In the meantime I had a relative do the same thing. Clicking on the ebay link provided on my page with my referral ID in it and win an auction. I waited again and still nothing. This lead me to believe that ebay was still having problems with their tracking of affiliates even though I received another email stating that this issue had been resolved.
In conclusion I believe that the Ebay affiliate program is flawed and that while you may receive some commissions some that you should be receiving will be lost which means more money for Ebay. Let me show you my overall stats from clicks and you be the judge.

Have you contacted ebay and explained that you are tracking your sites results?
