eCrater An Alternative to eBay?

Is eCrater a replacement for eBay?In my opinion it is not but it is a great site to add to your list when looking for bargains.

eCrater also offers multiple payment options just like eBay. Sellers select the payment options that are available to the buyer so every seller may not have the same payment options available. The current options are PayPal, Google Checkout, Money Order, Cashiers Check, Personal Check and Cash on Delivery, again this is based on the individual seller so they will have one or more options available.

eCrater also uses a feedback system similar to eBay so you can compare sellers feedback ratings to give you an idea of how this seller treats their customers. It gives you a little bit more confidence about making your purchases when the seller has a proven track record. That being said, you will notice that a lot of sellers have little or no feedback as there are a lot of new sellers just getting started. Look for listings that give you good detail and sellers that have policies (click on "terms" at the bottom right hand of the page on listings) in place to answer your questions if the feedback numbers are low. This will let you know that they are in it to serve the customer and not to just make a quick buck or two.

eCrater offers free listings without final value fees unlike Amazon and eBay. As a Seller you will not enjoy the exposure that eBay and Amazon afford you but you will be able to offer your buyers a better price. This translates into more satisfied customers because they are getting the same great product that you offer on other eCommerce sites at a lower cost. These days that is something as sellers that we should be doing to help our customers, we all know the economy is struggling so why not do what we can to help out.
