eBay Pictures Sell Better Than Your Words Do

NOTHING will stop me from clicking on an eBay auction more than a listing without a picture.

Nothing.

No Picture, No Click Thru.

No image means the seller doesn't even care if it sells... the seller has no pride in the product... or, worse yet, there is something about the product to hide.

Not interested. Next!

Take a GOOD picture... make it interesting to someone who is looking for that type of product. Make sure the image is clear and IS what you are offering.

For the record, I don't like images that are copied from the company product page and used as a default image.

I want an actual picture of what you want me to actually BUY.

If you're going to have an eBay business... or ANY business .. invest in yourself. Get a good digital camera that you can learn how to use...and take good pictures for your eBay listings.

The price of a digital camera will be nothing compared to the change in your eBay selling profits.

Besides, you can probably find a cheap digital camera on eBay :::wink wink:::

When It Comes to an eBay Seller's email... It's NOT Better Late Than Never!

Do you know how many eBay sales may be lost due to the seller simply not answering questions about their products?

I email eBay sellers... I ask questions. If you've got me to where I am willing to email you and ask you a question about a product you have up for auction - I am about 3 seconds away from buying your product.

I have clicked your auction, I have probably read your auction details at least three times...and then read it again to make sure I didn't miss the answer to my question.

If your answer is the answer I am looking for, I will buy your product

However, do you know that I have actually had eBay product questions go UNanswered?!?! I've even had eBay sellers finally answer my questions after the auction was OVER!!

Can you say, "MISSED SALE"???

Answer your email..

An email from a potential eBay buyer means you are most likely within inches of a sale.

An eBay Seller I Will Always Remember... and Always BUY FROM

I'm a golfer. I live in Atlanta. It is HOT in the summertime. I'm also fashionably thin (ok, I'm scrawny) and I wear an XS ladies shirt.

I like to wear sleeveless golf shirts when I golf, but because I wear an odd size, and because I refuse to pay $40 or more for a golf shirt, I browse eBay for good deals.

I came across a lot of 5 XS ladies golf shirts that no one was paying attention to. No bids... the auction was about to end... so I quickly put my bid in and won the lot for a grand total of 99 cents (plus about $6 shipping).

What a DEAL!!!

Know what the BEST part of winning that eBay auction was?

When the package arrived.

A big white box with my name on it was brought to me by my friendly mail-carrier. When I opened it, I felt like it was my birthday!

Receiving that eBay product was like someone sending me a present instead of me getting a product I ordered. Know why?

Inside the box, each shirt was hand-wrapped in bright, colorful tissue paper. It was beautiful!

That package was the most fun to open! I completely forgot that I only paid 99 cents for all those shirts...and it was obvious that the seller took serious pride in her eBay business... even for a customer who only spent 99 cents!

Needless to say, that eBay seller is on my favorites list FOREVER!

eBay Sellers - There is No Such Thing as TMI*
TMI- Too Much Information

Again, I'll go back to the example of me trying to find golf clothes for fashionable thin ::cough cough:: women.

This time I was looking for those cute little golf skirts. You know, look like a skirt, but there are shorts underneath? I love those! Besides, we scrawny girls can pull them off better than we can shorts these days. Shorts in my size tend to be in junior sizes and they uhhhhhh... well, they uhhhh... they tend to show off my 'better side'.

Anyway... I found a cute, cute, CUTE little golf skirt/skort. I fell in love with it. Why did I get so attached?

The seller had a ton of pictures of all different angles... even a picture of the tag inside the skirt! She also mentioned in her listing that the skirt had a little flaw....

Uh-oh! A flaw on MY golf skirt?

The skirt has a part of the stitching at the hem that is not perfect.

She took a very clear picture of the imperfection and posted it, right there on her eBay auction.

It was nothing... probably totally un-noticable! Wow, talk about disclosure!

I bought the skirt. My $4 golf skirt IS perfect to me....

Oh, and that "flaw"... it IS totally un-noticable!

eBay sellers... watch your details. Let your potential customers know everything about your product. Give them images to help them 'bond' with the product...and before long...

It will be THEIR product.

I bet you've heard that having your own eBay business can be quite profitable, haven't you?
