10 Tips For Success On Ebay

Increase Your Sales To Maximize Profits!

The World's Online Marketplace attracts buyers of all ages, sizes, and shapes with likes and preferences as diverse as the buyers themselves. With such a magnificent customer base, eBay is a seller's dream. All an eBay seller really needs to take their sales to new heights is a little know-how and a great source of products to sell.
Here is a collection of 10 tips to help you make your eBay sales soar%u2026

1. Be an eBay buyer. Surprised? Well, don't be. As an eBay buyer you will accomplish two things: You will build positive feedback, and gain a better understanding of how the eBay platform works. Positive feedback is essential to success; it enhances your credibility. Familiarity with eBay will help you reach your target customers.
2. Don't let fear hold you back. Everyone has to start somewhere, and everyone makes mistakes in the beginning. The secret is to not give up. Mistakes are ok; after all, to err is human. Let go of the fear, and accept that you will make a few missteps along the way. Think of them as learning opportunities. Before you know it, you'll be a pro raking in the dough.
3. Have a market niche. Specializing in a specific type of goods enables you to become an expert in your chosen area. When you build up credibility, buyers will come to you as a resource. Having a market niche encourages repeat customers, and enables you to better market your goods.
4. Be a professional. Treat customers with respect; they are the lifeblood of your business. Be trustworthy. You can build credibility and show your trustworthiness by earning positive feedback. The higher the quantity and percentage of positive feedback, the more trustworthy you are in buyer's eyes. Buyers that feel valued and appreciated will return to the seller that made them feel that way. Will it be you?
5. Write an effective title. The title of an auction is the most important element of a listing. Without an effective title, buyers will never see your auction. It is the title that allows your listing to be displayed in search results and catch the eyes of interested buyers.
6. Perfect your auction description. You can create a perfect description by being specific, providing product details, using keywords, and being persuasive. Product details are important; they let the customer know that, yes, this is the product they are looking for.
7. Pictures are paramount. Include at least one high-quality photo in your auction. Most buyers will not bid on an auction without first seeing a picture of the product. Add audio or video to your auctions. Sellers that use audio or video in their auction listings see almost instant results - increased traffic and sales.
8. List more auctions with shorter durations. Most seasoned sellers will tell you that running more auctions in the same time period with shorter durations increases your sales. Why? The majority of bids are placed in the last 24-hours of the listing regardless of the length of the auction. By launching short auctions, you are able to close more sales.
9. Don't profit from shipping charges. Overcharging for shipping fees is very unprofessional. Buyers will leave you negative feedback regardless of whether the product was what they expected or how fast they received it. The small profit that you could make from overcharging is not worth the damage created by negative feedback and unhappy customers; your chance of gaining repeat buyers turns to zilch.
10. Above all, remain positive. Positivity, passion, and enthusiasm are magnetic forces that attract people and increase sales. Have fun! Let your passion for your products shine. How many new buyers will you attract today?

P.S. If you take away just one thing

If you could get rid of the people that try to sell items that are not as described. Or don't offer a refund if the buyer is not satisfied. These are the people that don't care about their customers and don't try to make every shopping experiance a good one. In my opinion they don't need repeat buisness or to be in buisness to begin with.
